Revenue & Margin Growth Capabilities Developer


As the Revenue & Margin Growth Capabilities Developer you will be responsible within HEINEKEN NETHERLANDS COMMERCE for tooling, capabilities, and insight generation for our Revenue Management (RMG) team. Revenue Management is a discipline that sits at the crossroads of Big Data, consumer behavior, Marketing, and Finance. We strive to sell the right product, with the right pack, to the right customer, at the right time, for the right price.

You will develop capabilities for both our channels (On-trade and Off-trade) within the five pillars of Revenue Management: Pricing, Promotion, Mix, Pack Price Architecture, and Trade Terms & Conditions. In the role you will be in charge of embedding best practice repeatable models and actionable insights across the organization in order to deliver the Revenue, Gross Profit, and Market Share targets for HEINEKEN NETHERLANDS.

You will work with multiple and disconnected data sources, and will transform data into knowledge to be applied in business decisions within RMG. You will do this for all brands in our portfolio (including Heineken, Amstel, Desperados, Birra Moretti, and Texels). You will take the initiative in our mission to facilitate better data-driven decisions that help the category and HEINEKEN grow. With your proactive attitude and your experience in analyzing, understanding and visualizing data, you will ensure that the RMG team always has the right information available to stay ahead of the market and take the best decisions within the RMG pillars.

This is what you like to do:

  • Enhance Revenue Management tooling, to ensure that they give the right insights for decision making on pricing, promotion, discounts, and bonuses;
  • Leverage data (from proprietary or public sources) to affect financial performance;
  • Innovate in the application of available data in BI visualizations and modelling algorithms to identify commercial opportunities;
  • Follow and understand the Beer Category developments in On-trade and Off-trade;
  • Be an integral part of the RMG team, and take responsibility for HEINEKEN NETHERLANDS’ financial results and business performance;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure insights are leveraged;


You are driven to help HEINEKEN make optimal use of the available data. You feel comfortable processing large datasets and you know how to visualize data insights and translate them into applicable solutions.

Your future team

Within HEINEKEN you will be part of the department Revenue Management where you will strengthen the team consisting of 4 passionate professionals, including you. Together with our team you will have the mission to improve Revenue and Margin while winning in the market. Your workplace is located in the center of Leiden, opposite the Central Station. HEINEKEN embraces a hybrid way of working and you will be able to work from home a few days a week as well.


Are you the Revenue & Margin Growth Capabilities Developer we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant working experience;
  • Curious and inquisitive mindset, with the ability to work independently and to proactively break silos within the organization;
  • Very strong analytical skills. A team player, innovative and eager to learn;
  • A technical background (such as Econometrics or Data Science) with the ambition and skills to grow in time into a business or commercial role;
  • Ability to design and perform complex analysis and work with large data sets. Excellent Excel skills are a must;
  • Databases (SQL) knowledge;
  • Programming knowledge in languages such as Python or R. Ability to use these tools to model optimization algorithms;
  • Ability to simply & logically explain analyses and data requirements;
  • Excellent command of the English language;


Nice to have:

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Looker or Tableau;
  • Machine Learning experience with tools such as AzureML;
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, and business topics;
