Quantitative Commodity Risk Manager

 

 

Job description

 

- Function/ Region: Heineken Global Procurement
- (Sub)department: Commodity Price Risk Management (CPRM)
- Job purpose: Responsible for production and maintenance of quantitative hedging models, supplier and competitor pricing activity reporting, and hedging requirements across the commodity portfolio  
- Reports to: Director Commodity Risk Management

Roles & Responsibilities
 
1.Responsibility (scope): Working within the CPRM team, be the focal point of all quantitative analysis regarding commodity price movement across raw materials, packaging and energy. In addition work with category leads and CPO to create qualitative reports on suppliers and competitors.
2.Responsibility (Quantitative modeling): Creation and ownership of volatility targeted commodity portfolio in order to give insights on speculative money flows within the commodity asset class.
3.Responsibility: (Competitor and supplier insights) Connect and build relationships with external experts in their respective fields to provide relevant insights to internal stakeholders. Build competitor and supplier analysis on input costs and hedging strategies.
4.Role: (hedging execution and post trade analysis) Execute own title trades via derivatives, as well as transact directly with suppliers in order to mitigate price volatility on key commodities.
5.Role: (trade management) Perform post trade administration - MTM calculations, volume reconcilliations and hedge accounting ineffectiveness testing.
6.Role: (stakeholder management) Be an ambassador of both HGP and CPRM within Heineken and externally by delivering excellent customer service to OPCOs, whilst pushing the CPRM agenda forward with all stakeholders across the business.
 
 
Experience & Profile (What & How)

 

What:

Education: Vocational / higher vocational / Bachelor level / University level
Work experience: 5-10 years.
Required work experience in field of expertise: Knowledge of financial derivatives, relevant accounting standards, banking relationships and budgetary cycles with large multinational (preferably FMCG)
Other fields of expertise: Investor relations, Treasury, Accounting and Reporting
Functional skills: Experience with Python, company P&L analysis, CPRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Languages: Fluent English required
