Internship - Transformation Office HR

"As an intern, I aim to make a positive contribution by supporting my colleagues to unleash their full potential, thereby fostering a driven and enthusiastic working environment for both the individual, the team, and the organization. This is what I hope to experience during my internship."

If you identify with this and are eager to contribute to improving processes within a team and department, then this internship is perfect for you!

The internship

Drive the visibility of People Operations by building on a communication plan that was started in the first half of the year. You'll enrich it with the right actions to maximize visibility and help improve collaboration across teams. In addition, you'll foster a culture of continuous improvement and ownership, enhance efficiency, and contribute to an action plan based on employee satisfaction insights to boost overall engagement.

During the internship, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Build on the existing communication plan to further increase the visibility of People Operations, ensuring employees clearly understand our contribution to making their employee journey a success. Add concrete, impactful actions to the plan to amplify our presence and engagement across the organization.
  • Help foster a continuous improvement and ownership mindset within the team by turning challenges into opportunities and translating lessons learned into actionable steps that improve both the quality of our work and the employee experience.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of an improvement plan based on employee satisfaction survey insights, including designing a reporting format to track and monitor progress over time.
  • Strengthen collaboration between People Operations teams and beyond by identifying and acting on opportunities for more integrated ways of working.
  • Contribute to proposal writing by helping develop a more mature and constructive approach—shifting from simply saying “no” to offering clear, well-founded proposals that align with our priorities and capacity.

To achieve this, you will work closely with People Operations teams such as Support, Hiring, In-employment, and Systems & Solutions. You’ll also engage with colleagues from People Business Partners, Rewards, Legal, and Recruitment when needed, ensuring a collaborative and end-to-end approach to improving processes, communication, and ownership.

During your internship, you will get to know HEINEKEN as a company, also beyond your immediate department. We offer you the trust and freedom to work like a true entrepreneur. We value fresh perspectives, welcome your ideas with enthusiasm, and provide the guidance that fits your growth.

The department

Your internship is part of the Transformation Office team within the People Operations department, the heart of all HR processes. We manage everything from Hire to Retire, ensuring a smooth and positive HR experience for over 4,000 employees in the Netherlands. As a shared service center for multiple HEINEKEN operating companies in The Netherlands, each with unique needs, our work is both rewarding and dynamic. This is all accomplished with the support of an amazing team of approximately 40 dedicated colleagues who are passionate, collaborative, and always striving to make a positive impact on our employees' journeys.
