The internship

Are you a graduate student, passionate about the Environment and Sustainability and looking for an experience in an international environment? 

• What does the internship entail: As a Sustainability intern, you are a key player in our team. You will contribute to reporting, communicating and managing Sustainability related projects. This includes supporting in shaping new initiatives and creating structure around and managing existing initiatives for Packaging.
• What are the main responsibilities
  • Perform detailed data analytics and modelling and develop sustainability insights
  • Support in carbon footprint reporting
  • Creating content , guidelines and communication for our teams
  • Work on exciting projects to accelerate our decarbonisation agenda

• With whom (department/colleagues) does the intern primarily work: Procurement, Supply chain, Commerce and Corporate Affairs

The department

Procurement is a dynamic environment working with internal and external stakeholders to make a BIG impact in HEINEKEN

The terms of employment

• Your starting date is 1 October 2024 (6 months)
• The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
• The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
• It is a practice-oriented internship
• You will be based in Amsterdam (Schipol offices)
• You will receive an internship fee of €500
• You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
• If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

The start of your internship

Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

The unique you!

You are a student in a Master’s, preferably related to Business Supply Chain and Sustainability and you have the following: 

• Business experience working in a corporate environment (as an intern)
• Strong analytical skills – able to distil insights from data, work on complex excel formulae and equations
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in the Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent communication, creative writing and design skills (including MS teams and Sharepoint)
• Ability to prioritize and to work in a structured way on projects
• Exceptional team player capability and eagerness to learn, share knowledge 

We believe that everyone has unique talents and are therefore looking for you!

• HBO or WO education
• Passion and knowledge of environmental sustainability

Conditions of HEINEKEN

1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
   1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
   2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
2. Physical presence at the location of your internship. We believe that you learn most when you can work directly with your colleagues. It is therefore not possible to work completely remote and HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing.
