The internship

The HEINEKEN Business Services (HBS) Global organisation offers internship opportunities on programme management & governance, change & communications and transformation, which place you at the heart of HEINEKEN’s transformation journey. You will support the planning and execution of business service transitions across Functions, Regions and OpCos, and contribute to delivering measurable value for the organisation. You will gain hands-on experience in shaping the HEINEKEN Business Services (HBS) organisation, collaborating with international teams, and helping the company land change effectively at scale.


What is HEINEKEN Business Services?
HBS is a strategic enabler of EverGreen 2030, our company strategy. HBS is a centrally governed global network of service centres, delivering services and capabilities better, faster and cheaper to our Global Functions and Operating Companies (OpCos) globally. HBS is about enabling our teams to focus on what matters most: our customers, consumers and driving company growth.  

 

What will this internship entail?
Your main responsibility will involve development of change (and communication) assets, refine approaches and templates, plan and execute change and communication events within the different workstreams.

Specific projects like

  • Develping change and comms plans – integrating different milestones and inputs and requirements 
  • Supporting the team in developing & refining a change toolkit and upskilling stakeholders on it
  • Organise (ADKAR/Change) surveys to measure change effectiveness. 

You will be working with other colleagues representing Global Functions & Regions to ensure integrated, simple and tailored plans, materials and templates.

Your new team and workplace

You will join HBS Central team, based in Amsterdam — a central team supporting markets worldwide as part of a transition toward globally connected Business Services. The environment is collaborative, international, and dynamic, with a mix of operational focus and long-term transformation work. 

We need you to complement our central program team that is building HBS from the ground up,  by supporting all of us on numerous different projects. Our field is dynamic, and our scope is large, so you have our word that this internship will keep your hands full and our goal is to get you to learn as much as you can, develop yourself professionally while you work with all of us in HEINEKEN Business Services.

Throughout your internship, you'll have opportunities to engage with colleagues across HBS disciplines and contribute ideas to strengthen how we work and operate as a global network.

  • You are senior student currently enrolled in a Dutch Master (HBO/WO), related to Business or Communication studies 
  • Exceptional team player capability and eagerness to learn, share knowledge
  • Project management – able to manage multiple projects, prioritise & maintain an overview of the big picture and close attention to detail 
  • Manages relationships with stakeholders (with conflicting interests). Communicates through understanding, influencing and/or serving others and requires more than facts to win arguments and influence others 
  • Digital skills – Masters analytical and communication tools, such as Excel, PowerBI, Powerpoint and Canva, to support projects with analyses and presentations/ communications to senior stakeholders

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrolment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
  3. You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).

 

Our Internship Conditions

During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we brew your future step by step. In addition, we offer you:

 

  • A full-time internship, starting in March 2026
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
  • Your home office will be located in Amsterdam
  • At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
  • You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
  • You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
  • If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
