The department
The Global Talent & Leadership (GT&L) team plays a vital role in unlocking the full potential of our people and organization. We are dedicated to attracting and retaining top talent, fostering an inclusive workplace, and ensuring continuous learning and development opportunities.
Our team is made up of four Centres of Excellence (CoEs): Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Global Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Learning & Capabilities. Together, we strive to create impactful programs and strategies that support HEINEKEN’s people and business goals.
In this internship, you’ll have the unique opportunity to contribute to two key areas within GT&L: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and the Global Graduate Program, which is part of Global Talent Acquisition. This dual focus will allow you to gain broad exposure to how we approach talent development and inclusion on a global scale.
The internship
As an intern in the Global Talent & Leadership (GT&L) team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work across two key areas:
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I):
- Support the design and delivery of global DE&I initiatives.
- Assist in planning and executing campaigns that promote DE&I awareness and engagement.
- Coordinate activities with DE&I ambassadors and Employee Resource Groups worldwide.
- Gather and analyse data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Global Graduate Program (GGP):
- Supporting the strategic growth of the GGP, focusing on attracting and developing future HEINEKEN leaders.
- Working closely with people across the organization worldwide, as well as external partners and vendors, to ensure the program’s success.
- Coordinate activities for the Global Graduate Community.
- Analysing data and providing insights to optimize the program.
Throughout your internship, you’ll get hands-on experience in global talent strategies, working closely with professionals across the organization. You’ll also have the freedom to shape your own internship experience by taking ownership of specific projects that inspire you.
During your internship you will get the opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as a company, also outside your department. We give you the trust and freedom, so you can work like a real entrepreneur. The terms of employment
- Your starting date is ideally around January/ start February 2025
- The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
- The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
- You are registered at an educational institution
- It is a practice-oriented internship
- You will be based in Amsterdam
- During your internship, you have the flexibility to work from home/ hybrid
- You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on 40 hours per week
- You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on 40 hours per week)
- If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed
The start of your internship
Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

- Team worker with the ability to lead your own projects and juggle priorities
- Excellent communication skills, well-versed at wrapping up complex ideas and projects in a concise way and ability to connect with diverse people and cultures

- Passionate or curious about Global Talent & Leadership
- HBO or WO education
- Experienced user of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. A bonus if you are familiar with working data analytics tools such as PowerBI)
Conditions of HEINEKEN
- You are enrolled at an educational institution.
- In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
- In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
- Physical presence at the location of your internship. We believe that you learn most when you can work directly with your colleagues. It is therefore not possible to work completely remote and HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing.
