The internship

Are you a graduate student that is passionate about Sustainability and Agriculture, and looking for a great experience in an international environment? Come and Brew a Better World with us!

 

You will work alongside your colleagues on daily projects and activities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Research & data analysis: conduct research on sustainable raw materials and suppliers. Data gathering and analysis to model/develop sustainability insights that support decarbonization initiatives, eg the processing decarbonization roadmaps we build with key suppliers and/or data collection and compliance on sustainable sourcing.
  • Project Management and reporting: assist in managing sustainability projects, track progress, and report on key metrics. Support in the process of eg our annual carbon footprint reporting (HeiCF) and/or regenerative agriculture (regen ag) programs. Contribute to pilots and initiatives that will accelerate our decarbonization journey.
  • Collaboration and communication: Collaborate and have meetings with our key suppliers. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and the team.

  • Bachelor (HBO) or Master (WO) education level
  • Passion for sustainability and agriculture
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a structured way on projects
  • Good knowledge and practical experience with Microsoft Office (PowerBI, Excel, Powerpoint, Word) is a plus
  • Analytical skills: able to distill insights from data, work on complex Excel formulae and equations
  • Clear and open communication style and skills
  • Being a true team player with eagerness to learn and share your knowledge with us!

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
  3. You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).

 

Our Internship Conditions

During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we brew your future step by step. In addition, we offer you:

 

  • A full-time internship, starting on February 1, 2026
  • The duration of the internship is 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
  • Your home office will be located in Amsterdam (Schiphol office)
  • At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
  • You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
  • You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
  • If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
