The internship

Igniting the thrill of millions through the excitement of the UEFA Men’s and Women’s Champions League, dazzling our guests with world class hospitality at the Formula 1 Grand Prix, or delivering stunning activations with our unique partnership with the UEFA Women’s EURO in Switzerland and our biggest internal event of the year, our very own Heineken commerce week!

During the internship, you will be working on:

• Support the team on a broad range of preparations for our sponsorship activations and events in close cooperation with rightsholders, our agencies and internal stakeholders
• When applicable, assist on site at events
• Support our day-to-day business and ad hoc requests (i.e. support in writing briefings, create presentations etc.)
• Support and initiate internal communications by sharing best practices and excite markets with our world class sponsorship portfolio.
• Assist with and execute administrative duties.
• Maintain agendas and status reports for weekly partnership meetings with the internal Project Teams, ensuring all actions and deadlines are delivered and met.

The department

The Global Heineken Sponsorship Team is part of Heineken Global Commerce and based in the city center of Amsterdam. Our aim is to utilize our partnerships with UEFA and Formula 1 to the fullest and to create long lasting impact in the hearts of our consumers and their social lives. By having almost weekly events, we connect closely with our local markets and delivering special sports moments across the season with thousands of guests.

The terms of employment

• Your starting date is 1 February 2025
• The internship is fulltime
• The duration of the internship is 6 months
• It is a practice-oriented internship with room for theoretical research
• You will be based in Amsterdam
• During your internship, you have the flexibility to work in a hybrid setup
• You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on 40 hours per week (when you start at the 1st of January 2025).
• You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
• If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

The unique you!

• Full professional Proficiency in English:
• Knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• You must be enrolled in a Bachelor/Master studies for the entire duration of the internship
• In case of a non-EU nationality, it is mandatory that the intern is enrolled at a Dutch university and therefore has a legitimate work permit with student status which will not expire during the duration of the internship.
• Students outside of the EU must be registered at a university in the Netherlands
• You must have a BSN number before their start of the internship, for tax and payroll purposes
• You are in possession of a driving license B

• Experience in hospitality, sport marketing, project management and/ or digital communication

Conditions of HEINEKEN

1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
   1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.
   2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
2. Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
