Internship – Global Sponsorship Events

Igniting the thrill of millions through the excitement of the UEFA Men’s and Women’s Champions League, dazzling our guests with world class hospitality at the Formula 1 Grand Prix and our biggest internal event of the year, our very own Heineken commerce week!

 

Sounds like a dream? Some might say so… But this could be your reality because we’re looking for a new passionate intern to join the Global Sponsorship Events Team at Heineken, situated in Amsterdam. The selected candidate will be a key support in everything we do, from event support, ticketing, hospitality, activation and all production related topics in our Global Sponsorship properties.

 

The Internship

In this internship your responsibilities are:

  • Support the team on a broad range of preparations for our sponsorship activations and events in close cooperation with rightsholders, our agencies and internal stakeholders
  • When applicable, assist on site at events
  • Support our day-to-day business and ad hoc requests (i.e. support in writing briefings, create presentations etc.)
  • Support and initiate internal communications by sharing best practices and excite markets with our world class sponsorship portfolio.
  • Assist with and execute administrative duties.
  • Maintain agendas and status reports for weekly partnership meetings with the internal Project Teams, ensuring all actions and deadlines are delivered and met.

  • Full professional Proficiency in English:
  • Knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • You must be enrolled in a Bachelor/Master studies for the entire duration of the internship
  • In case of a non-EU nationality, it is mandatory that the intern is enrolled at a Dutch university and therefore has a legitimate work permit with student status which will not expire during the duration of the internship.
  • Students outside of the EU must be registered at a university in the Netherlands
  • You must have a BSN number before their start of the internship, for tax and payroll purposes
  • You are in possession of a driving license B

 

Study & Research

You will have the possibility to connect a research to the internship. Please note that due to the number of events, we ask you to be flexible and to write this in your own time. Together with your manager, you can create an interesting research direction.

  • Experience in hospitality, sport marketing, project management and/ or digital communication

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.

 

Our Internship Conditions

During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we brew your future step by step. In addition, we offer you:

  • A full-time practice-oriented/theoretical research internship, starting on 1st of March 2026 until 31st of August 2026
  • Your home office will be located in Amsterdam
  • At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
  • You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
  • You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
  • If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
