The internship

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on people and communities? HEINEKEN's Global Commerce department is seeking a dynamic and driven intern to join our team, focusing on social responsibility projects across our Commercial activities. In this exciting role, you will collaborate with our operating companies worldwide, helping to deliver initiatives that foster social sustainability, DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) and community engagement. Join us and be part of our “Care & Dare” team mission to drive positive change!

As part of your internship, you will take on a key role in rolling out our global Brand Promoter Care App:  dedicated to ensuring fair and safe working conditions for our brand promoters globally. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams (our Digital & Technology department for example) and operating companies worldwide to implement this project, ensuring we reach our adoption objectives and proposing ideas for continuous improvement.

The department

The Global Commerce department at HEINEKEN encompasses the company's Sales and Marketing functions on an international scale. This department is responsible for driving the commercial strategy, ensuring that HEINEKEN’s products are marketed, positioned, and sold effectively across global markets. It focuses on strengthening the brands’ presence, delivering market share growth, reaching consumers and customers efficiently and fostering customer relationships, while also supporting local operating companies around the world. The department plays a critical role in shaping the company’s global growth strategy.

Within Global Commerce, you will be part of the Global Sales team, responsible for shaping our Route to Consumer strategy, making sure we win in the market, while ensuring we “Care & Dare” for our people and our communities.


The terms of employment

  • Your starting date is 1 February 2025
  • The internship is fulltime
  • The duration of the internship is 6 months
  • It is a practice-oriented internship
  • You will be based in Amsterdam office (office right next to the Heineken Experience)
  • During your internship, you have the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week
  • You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on 40 hours per week
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
