The internship 

As a Global Process Organisation (GPO) intern you will be part of the team that is the home of the global process owners of transactional finance within HEINEKEN. One of our priorities for 2023 is to work on our (internal) communication and department branding within HEINEKEN global. You will play a key role in setting up and executing a plan for this, utilising HEINEKENs internal (social) media. 

This will involve: 

  • Set up a communication plan for our departmental branding within HEINEKEN. 

  • Executing this plan utilising HEINEKENs internal (social) media and intranet. 

  • Other supporting tasks for the department when they arise. 

  • Most importantly: be seen as a full team member, learn from us and allow us to learn from you. 

The department 

As a Global Process Organisation (GPO) intern you will be part of the team that is the home of the global process owners of transactional finance within HEINEKEN. We shape the transactional finance vision, functionally own the processes, set targets, measure maturity and performance and identify improvements. We manage the deployments of solutions supporting our processes and act as a thought leader for everything transactional finance process related. 

During your internship you will get the opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as a company, also outside your department. We give you the trust and freedom, so you can work like a real entrepreneur. We like to bring the outside world inside and therefore we embrace new, fresh ideas with enthusiasm. Of course, always with the guidance that is right for you. 

The terms of employment  

  • Your starting date is 1 February 2023 

  • The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible) 

  • The duration of the internship is 6 - 9 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor) 

  • It is a practice-oriented internship  

  • You will be based in Amsterdam 

  • You will receive an internship fee of €500 based on fulltime 

  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)  

  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed 


The start of your internship 

Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

For this role, we are looking for a candidate who has a willingness to learn and develop their skills and capabilities across communication, commercial, and innovation.  

The ideal candidate has/ is: 

  • Currently in study for a Bachelors or Master’s degree. 

  • Fluent English language required.  

  • Familiar with general office tools (Microsoft). Microsoft Sharepoint skills are a nice to have, we will also offer the possibility to train these. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to prioritize and to work in a structured way on projects and individually. 

  • Ability to work with various stakeholders. 

  • Comfortable working independently on tasks and at the same time be a team player. 

  • Assertive, pragmatic, resilient and a can-do attitude. 

  • Strong personality with the ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment. 

  • Excellent analytical skills. 

  • Registered in a European (EU) University for the duration of the internship. 


Conditions of HEINEKEN 

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution. 

  1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.  

  1. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU. 

  1. Physical presence at the location of your internship. We believe that you learn most when you can work directly with your colleagues. It is therefore not possible to work completely remote and HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing.
