We are currently offering a Business Performance Management (BPM) Internship in the Global Process Management BPM (Business Performance Management) Team. Over the past years, the Global Functions – Supply Chain, Commerce, Finance, Procurement and IT – have worked together to create a common set of core processes, embedded in a standard ERP system. These were delivered to HEINEKEN OpCos (Operating Companies) in across all regions under two global programmes. The D&T (Digital and Technology) Global Process Management (GPM) organisation now supports these OpCos in Business-as-Usual mode to help them continuously adhere to these process standards and improve on their performance.


The internship position is in the BPM Team of GPM. Our scope is to design processes under business performance management (management accounting) area that support our operating companies in running their daily operations by building new reports, enhance ERP functionalities, testing and deploying in and an end to end way. GPM Team is also responsible for setting up and monitor process performance indicators. The objective of the internship is to support us in building these new functionalities from clarifying requirements with our OpCos, building the reports together with our technical team, testing/coordinating the testing and training OpCos in using BPM functionalities. This internship represents a challenge due to its multicultural aspect and the need of adapting to various ways of working and communication. Simultaneously, it is a unique opportunity where you will cooperate with experts from various HEINEKEN operating companies & Global Functions and learn how a large and highly international organisation operates.


The internship is based in Amsterdam (currently working from home) and available immediately for a duration of 6 months, 40 hours per week (negotiable)


Please note that all interns must be enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the internship. You will need to provide a proof of enrolment with your application. Applications without this will not be considered.

Your responsibilities

In this internship you will be responsible for:

  • Review requirements shared by our opco’s, make sure these are in line with ERP design, coordinate technical teams input/review for various part of BPM scope (management accounting, capex, budgeting, production costing, profitability analysis) for Operating Companies (OpCos) worldwide
  • Review PPI’s (process performance indicators) BPM results, train opco’s in using the PPI’s dashboard as intended, signalling trends across multiple markets (flag any improvement areas)
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders from Regions and Global Functions to discuss these insights and get input on their business- and data needs ;
  • Use the input from OpCos and various stakeholders to further enhance and enrich existing processes & reports in the BPM scope


Your profile

  • Currently enrolled in a Masters’ degree in Business Analytics Business Administration, International Business, Business Information Management or related;
  • Passionate about processes, management accounting, performance management
  • Good affinity with numbers
  • Ability to prioritize and to work in a structured way on projects and individually;
  • Exceptional team player: eager to learn, share knowledge and communicate with people at different levels within the organisation and from diverse cultural backgrounds;
  • Proficiency in English: written, spoken and interpersonal ;
  • Proactive, with a can-do mentality;
  • For this position you need to be currently based in The Netherlands
