The internship

The Global Process & Control Improvement Intern role is situated within the Finance sub-function of Process & Control Improvement in Amsterdam Head Office, offers a dynamic internship experience. As a key contributor to the Global P&CI team, particularly the Risk Response team, you will engage in various operational and administrative activities, while being thoroughly supported by specialists in this field from diverse cultural backgrounds.

 

Operational and Administrative Support: Contribute to the team's efficiency by handling agenda items, minute-taking, presentations, and data consolidation for departmental or project needs.

Communication: Contribute to developing and implementing a new communication strategy for P&CI activities, targeting Finance and Sustainability communities across Global Functions and Operating Companies.

Data Analysis: Engage in conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets to deliver critical insights that enhance decision-making for environmental Financial and Sustainability reporting (S&R), ensuring compliance with global transparency standards.

Risk Response: Support P&CI deliverables, including assisting in risk management workshops and identifying crucial controls starting from production, through order fulfillment and financial accounting and reporting. Gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s operations and how these core functions interrelate.

Process Improvement: Actively participate in analyzing current process workflows to identify inefficiencies, propose and help implement improvements, by collaborating with team members and stakeholders from other teams.

Material Maintenance: Support the regular upkeep of policies and materials on SharePoint and/or PowerBI, ensuring accessibility and relevance.

e-Commerce: Work closely with e-Commerce platform and product owners and architects to identify and address potential issues, mitigate risks, and ensure business continuity and robust controls within the market-to-cash stream.

 

The department

The Global P&CI team at HEINEKEN is a dynamic and diverse group of professionals operating in different expertise teams. The Risk Response team within the P&CI department is focused on identifying, designing, and implementing proper risk responses with the aim to help the business respond to key risks using a complete and integrated business process risk and control framework.

Working in the Risk Response team offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of topics and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders. The challenges of the role lie in the high-paced and dynamic environment, which requires a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset to thrive. The department also places a high concern for quality, accuracy, and data, making it a great place for individuals who are detail-oriented and driven to continuously improve.

The Global P&CI team consists of 45 professionals located in different parts of the world, making it a diverse environment with international exposure. Interns will have the opportunity to learn how to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world business needs, gain project experience, and improve their documentation and presentation skills. Additionally, being a member of the international team of interns offers a chance to boost their professional and social network. The terms of employment

  • The internship is fulltime (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
  • It is a practice-oriented internship
  • You will be based in Amsterdam
  • You will receive an internship fee of €500 gross pm based on 40 hours per week.
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. Physical presence at the location of your internship. We believe that you learn most when you can work directly with your colleagues. It is therefore not possible to work completely remote and HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing.
