Ready to brew your future in communications? 🍻
At HEINEKEN International, we’re looking for a curious, creative, and hands-on intern to join our Executive & Employee Communications Hub. This is your chance to dive into global internal comms, gain real experience across diverse functions, and help shape how we connect with our people worldwide. All from the heart of Amsterdam, with a fresh perspective and ‘a cold one’ never too far away.
About EverGreen 2030 & Future-Fit
HEINEKEN’s EverGreen 2030 strategy is our roadmap to becoming the world’s pioneering beer company. Building on the progress of EverGreen 2025, we’re sharpening our priorities to accelerate Growth, step up Productivity, and focus on being Future-Fit. These three pillars are deeply interconnected, none is achievable without the others.
Future-Fit is all about making HEINEKEN ready for the future, with impact and intention. It focuses on three critical transformation areas:
- Digital Backbone & AI Acceleration: Driving digital transformation for smarter decision-making and productivity.
- Brew a Better World 2030: Evolving our sustainability strategy to focus on fewer, more impactful goals.
- Winning People, Culture & Organisation: Building a high-performance culture and developing pioneering talent.
As our intern, you’ll mainly contribute to the Future-Fit pillar, but you’ll also step in on projects supporting Growth and Productivity, reflecting how these priorities work together in our new strategy.
What you’ll do
- Create content for internal and external channels, with a focus on digital transformation, sustainability, and culture.
- Support internal campaigns and storytelling that bring EverGreen 2030 to life, especially around Future-Fit initiatives.
- Help organise impactful events—from global Town Halls to local Head Office moments—that connect leaders and employees.
- Contribute to editorial planning and content creation across a wide range of strategic topics and formats.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to ensure communications are aligned, relevant, and drive engagement.
- Serve as a roving reporter to unearth and tell exciting stories about our business, including video recording and editing.
- Step in on projects related to Growth (e.g., supporting internal campaigns that drive brand engagement or share best practices) and Productivity (e.g., helping communicate and organise initiatives like Finance Learning Week or Quality Week in Supply Chain).
And yes, there’s plenty of room to bring your own ideas to the table. We believe in giving you the trust and freedom to work like a true entrepreneur, with the right guidance along the way.
What you’ll gain
- Exposure to global (internal) communication strategy and campaigns.
- A wide scope of projects across all global functions, with a special focus on digital, sustainability, and culture.
- A chance to grow your skills in a supportive, international team.
- A front-row seat to how communication drives culture and engagement at HEINEKEN.
The unique you
You are a curious and creative communicator who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment. You bring:
- A background in communications, marketing or media.
- Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus!).
- Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
- Digitally confident—you’re quick to pick up new tools and comfortable working with platforms like Canva, video editing software, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive, organised mindset—you take initiative and get things done.
- A strategic eye for how communication supports business goals, builds culture, and connects people across functions.
What we offer
- A €650 gross monthly internship allowance (based on 40 hours/week)
- 2 vacation days per month
- Full reimbursement of commuting costs if you don’t have a student OV card
- A hybrid working setup, but we believe the best ideas happen when we connect in real life
Conditions of HEINEKEN
- You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
- In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
- In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
- You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
- You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).
