The internship

Hoppy is HEINEKEN’s GenAI chatbot for reporting and knowledge management, used across global teams, regions Operation Companies (OpCos) and HEINEKEN Business Services (HBS) hubs. As a Change & Communication Intern, you will support the adoption of GenAI by translating technology into clear messages, engaging users, and helping teams embrace new ways of working.

 

During this internship, you will:

  • Support change management and adoption of Hoppy across the organisation
  • Create and coordinate internal communications such as updates, announcements, and onboarding materials
  • Translate GenAI developments and industry trends into clear value for HEINEKEN users
  • Help define value propositions for different user groups (BI, business, OpCos)
  • Support community building through key users, ambassadors, and feedback loops
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, BI teams, and Business Insights stakeholders

 

This internship offers hands-on experience at the intersection of technology, communication, and organisational change.

 

Your new team and workplace

You will be part of the Business Insights & Process Orchestraion department, which owns centralised BI and reporting capabilities within HEINEKEN. As part of our acceleration, Hoppy is being developed as a GenAI-powered solution to support insights and knowledge sharing at scale.

The team consists of 40+ skilled professionals working on BI, data, and GenAI solutions in a highly collaborative and international environment. You’ll have the freedom to work entrepreneurially, bring in fresh ideas, and make a visible impact, while always receiving the right level of guidance.

During your internship, you’ll have every opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as an organisation, not just within your own team, but across departments.   • Are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program
  • Have an interest in GenAI, change management, communication, or digital transformation
  • Enjoy explaining complex topics in a clear and engaging way
  • Are comfortable with basic tools like PowerPoint and Excel
  • Like working with different stakeholders and collaborating in teams

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
  3. You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).

 

Our Internship Conditions

During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we brew your future step by step. In addition, we offer you:

 

  • A full-time internship, starting on September 1, 2026
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
  • Your home office will be located in Amsterdam.
  • At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
  • You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
  • You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
  • If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
