Internship – Communications

The internship

As a communication intern, you will support two of the largest Transformation projects within HEINEKEN Europe by assisting in the creation of various types of communication to be disseminated across different levels, in line with our strategy. You will collaborate closely with the Change Management team, and during your internship, you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with HEINEKEN as a company, both inside and outside of your department. Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Communication team in deploying the communication strategy for each project;
  • Editing videos and creating graphic materials to release our key messages across different channels and to various audiences
  • Creation of briefs for key stakeholders;
  • Supporting the creation of social media comms assets;
  • Developing engagement packs to guide HEINEKEN’s European Operating Companies;
  • Bringing new ideas on creating engaging videos.

 

The department

The communication team is part of the European Change Management pillar of Transformation. Our Transformation Management Office is a diverse group of 20 colleagues hailing from 9 different countries. We thrive on team spirit, regularly organizing exciting events, and enjoying laid-back moments over a refreshing beer at our weekly get-togethers.

 

The terms of employment

  • Your starting date will be the end of May 2024
  • The internship is full-time (in consultation also 4 days a week possible)
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
  • It is a practice-oriented internship with the opportunity for theoretical research
  • You will be based in Amsterdam
  • Hybrid way of working (at least 2 office days per week)
  • You will receive an internship fee of €500 gross per month based on 40 hours per week
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on full-time)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

 

The unique you!

  • Education: Currently enrolled at a university
  • IT Savvy: Proficient in editing videos and creating designs/layouts. Also proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) with a strong inclination towards staying updated on IT innovations, particularly collaboration tools, and actively promoting new digital work methods.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (both speaking and writing).
  • It is a plus if you have experience in working in communication agencies.

 

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. Physical presence at the location of your internship. We believe that you learn most when you can work directly with your colleagues. It is therefore not possible to work completely remote and HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing.
