Internship - Circularity and Energy Transition

Are you a graduate (bio)process engineering student or equivalent? Are you passionate about sustainability and circularity, and looking for experience in an international environment?

Are you passionate about Heineken's ambition to significantly reduce our environmental footprint and become the greenest and most circular brewer in the world? To realize this ambition, we are implementing several technologies to become Net Zero Carbon, Circular, and to support Healthy watersheds where we operate. Your internship will be aimed at the Circularisation of our brewing process. Circularization of a Brewery comprises projects on co-products upcycling, landfill targets, and energy reduction through innovative technologies. Curiosity, initiative, keen observation, and analytical skills are a must!

This effort supports our production sites in improving their carbon footprint with concomitant upcycling of Brewer's Spent Grain and innovative ways of meeting energy requirements. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain a basic understanding of the brewing process, energy, and intrinsic value of co-products.
  • Connect and engage with multiple sites and colleagues from different countries in the Heineken world.

The department

Working as an intern in the Net Zero & Sustainable Production team rewards you with a dynamic and supportive environment. We are working on ambitious goals to significantly reduce our environmental footprint and become the greenest brewers in the world by deploying strategies on Net Zero Carbon, Circularity, and supporting healthy watersheds where we operate. The sustainable production team is part of the larger global production department.
