What will you do as a Commerce Communications Specialist?

As part of our Corporate Affairs team, you will support the Commerce Function to deliver world class integrated communications from and within the function. In this role you will be responsible for
landing the integrated Commerce communication strategy, driving internal communication and employee engagement activities on a local and global scale. You will also be supporting a transformational programme within the Commerce function, ensuring one way of driving commerce globally, driving repeatable commercial excellence.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Communicate / cascade top company priorities into the Commerce function to equip employees with the right information to successfully deliver the Commerce strategy. Including working on the integrated communication campaigns and story mining.
  • Share key Commerce programs to the wider company to build pride and increase awareness and understanding of the importance of Commerce and how specific transformation projects contribute to our commercial success.
  • Identify, create, develop key stories to position HEINEKEN externally through the work done in Commerce (in close coordination with the Global Communications team) to build the HEINEKEN reputation and support company growth.
  • Drive internal communication and employee engagement activities locally and globally to facilitate a networked and collaborative working environment across Commerce.
  • Collaborate with the People Business Partner of Commerce on building a culture of true belonging, organizing initiatives to improve the Climate Score.
  • Support the Global Commerce Management team with thought leadership, co-shaping messages and landing important Commerce initiatives, internally as well as externally (LinkedIn).
  • Drive the communication calendar (incl. organizing functional meetings/get-togethers, live-streams, newsletters creation and social events for Global Commerce and Commerce at Head Office).
  • 50% of the role to support the communication of a key Commerce transformational programme, including regular communication activities towards Regions and key stakeholders. (i.e. Newsletter creation, agency management, narrative building.)

 

Are you the Commerce Communications Specialist who completes our team?  

 

We are looking for someone with a growth mindset who can easily work in changing conditions and collaborate with various people, cultures and stakeholder levels. For this role we are hoping to find someone with the following qualifications and experience:

 

  • Education: University level
  • Work experience: 5-8 years implementing communications strategies on a variety of complex business topics, projects and transformational activities on a functional / organizational level preferably both internally and externally.
  • Communications skills: Exceptional business partnering, writing and verbal communication skills; deep understanding of engagement tools; is able to work under ambiguity and can take complex information and distil it into concrete, clear and simple messages for various audiences.
  • Functional skills: Knowledge of communication and engagement trends. Ability to translate complex topics to easy language. Excellent analytical capabilities. Basic knowledge and understanding of the media landscape.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business savviness with ability to dive deep; ideal candidate will have knowledge in, or be interested in learning about, the function of Commerce.
  • Languages: Fluency in English

  • Manage relationships with stakeholders on strategic and tactical level. Desire to work cross-functionally and become embedded in the Commercial Function as well as home function (Corporate Affairs). Communicate through understanding. Strong social skills and the ability to influence are essential.
  • Self-starter who takes individual accountability for the delivery of results, at the same time a team player who keeps an holistic view what is best for the wider team.
  • Ability to keep it simple, organized and move with speed and agility.
  • Communicate through understanding, influencing without control and customer centric mindset.
