Your role

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for regional management and operating companies on IFRS and accounting related questions. Additionally, you will support other global functions like Treasury, Tax, Business Control, Global Audit and Business Development with IFRS, accounting and reporting related topics.

The role will entail reviewing the quality of the OpCo submissions, addressing and documenting complex accounting questions from regional and local management, supporting in accounting for M&A, maintain and develop HEINEKEN accounting policies, and be part of the team preparing the consolidated half-year and year-end financial statements for HEINEKEN. Also, we ensure that relevant communication and trainings are developed that we share with the global accounting and reporting function.

You will report to the Manager Reporting and Accounting policies. Your position is based in Amsterdam Head Office.

 

Your department

As Financial Reporting Specialist you are part of the Reporting and Accounting Policies team (‘RAP team’). The RAP team is the department responsible for the consolidated financial statements of HEINEKEN, as well as the accounting policies with HEINEKEN where our goal is to ensure high quality financial reporting that is compliant with IFRS.

 

Your profile

For this role, we are looking for someone that is strong in IFRS and analysing complex accounting topics. Someone who has good communication and presentation skills, e.g. being able to communicate complex and often technical subject matters in a simple and understandable way. Someone that is strong in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, in an international environment, and is eager to learn.

You would be a good fit if you:

  • have 5 – 7 years relevant work experience, with exposure to IFRS and complex accounting issues;
  • university degree in accounting, economics or similar. Postgraduate degree, preferable Registered/Certified Accountant (RA/CA/ACCA or relevant equivalent);
  • can communicate well at all levels in the organisation;
  • are fluent in English.
