Lead Engineer Electrical & Sustainability

Location:  Schiphol – Amsterdam  (with 20% travel)

As an Electrical & Sustainability Engineering Lead, you will contribute to HEINEKEN’s Capex investment projects across the world. You’ll be given the opportunity to be involved with the power- and electrical design of our production equipment. It is critical to use that you use your experience to create safe, secure and integrated design and delivery, ensuring sustainable solutions are fully incorporated. We work in cross-functional project teams consisting of brewing, packaging, utilities, civil engineers and project managers.

 

What you will be involved in?

 

  • Support, advise and shape brewery plans with strategic decisions in respect to power generation and distribution technology

  • Discussions on investment scope with brewery management and project managers

  • Delivery of site surveys and contribute to Masterplans for breweries

  • Preparation of project plans, inquiry and order specifications

  • Supplier management and control of schedules and budgets

 

What experience would set you up for success in this role?

 

  • Passion for Sustainable engineering and a desire to stay up to date with electrical legislation, norms and regulations, with an ability to learn from and pass your knowledge on to others

  • Agile mindset, able and willing to connect with people and constantly adapt to changing realities

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree – preferably within Sustainable/ Energy Technology, Electrical Engineering or Business with 1-5 years’ relevant working experience

  • Knowledge of renewable energy generation (solar, wind, etc.), Diesel generator sets and Power quality solutions

  • Understanding of operational aspects of electrical installations (e.g. maintenance) and digital developments in manufacturing industry

  • Languages: Fluent English (verbal, written) required.
