Job purpose: Support the strategic direction for the OPCO and EMEA & GDF Business Units through providing consumer insight, market intelligence and recommendations to drive sustainable growth.

Reports to: Manager Marketing EMEA Export & Global Duty Free

Direct Reports: 1

Do you have a solid background in Consumer Research? Do you want to drive growth through consumer insights, serving diverse markets and segments? From the Nordics to Eastern Europe, Middle East, and West Africa? You will play a role in driving Consumer Centricity within our Opco and partner markets.

 

Roles & Responsibilities
 

  1. Responsible for shaping OPCO & Market strategies by translating data into consumer/market insights driving concrete and pragmatic recommendations for future organic growth. 
  2. Responsible for supporting the Commercial Team with consumer insight and market intelligence to build the optimal brand portfolio for sustainable business growth.
  3. Responsible for management and gate keeping of all external/internal data relating to consumer & markets and providing a regular drumbeat of  market updates and performance reports. ensuring continuous improvement of insight generation cycle- from research briefing to report  analysis and recommendations
  4. Responsible for inspiring the innovation pipeline via white spot/sources of growth analysis, category trends and consumer insights for the business units and markets.
  5. Responsible for implementation of all research projects (qualitative and quantitative) to support insight-based decision making and brand/portfolio growth. Works hand in hand with D&A team to translate core data into insights to drive business performance.
  6. Responsible for the management of 3rd parties such as Nielsen, Ipsos, Kantar and leading agencies through continuous contact, discussions and data findings and new solutions
  7. Responsibility (budget): Manage budget of c€600K

 

Experience & Profile

What:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree or higher
  • Must haves: Experience working with Nielsen, Ipsos or worked with other big research methodologies or agencies
  • Work experience: 8-10 years experience in CMI, Commercial and industry experience
  • Required work experience in field of expertise: Must have robust CMI/Marketing background and experience of working in a complex multinational environment. Significant consumer research and analytic experience required.
  • Other fields of expertise: Strong commercial acumen, data and insight driven, highly analytical, strong in business strategy & tactics, future orientated, motivated to think beyond research results for commercial opportunities and drive recommendations.
  • Functional skills: CMI, Digital Marketing, Data Analysis inc. brand equity, Innovation, Category/Portfolio/Brand Management, Business Strategy, Commercial excellence
  • Languages: Fluent English required.
