Job purpose: use Data & Analytics to help drive our indirects procurement function to the next level of performance, driving value out of billions worth of spend.

Scope: actively work with across global, regional and local indirect procurement teams to build out a portfolio of insights that enable a high performance and data driven procurement function. Lead the development based on a long term roadmap driving continuous improvement and more advanced analytics and AI. 

Nature of work: become the owner of analytics for the indirect procurement domain, answering to procurement needs of today and the future. 
Budget Responsibility: managing the work for €300k - €500k annually of our developer team, with additional strategic projects 
Stakeholder management: Connect with procurement teams worldwide to fully understand requirements of the function and embed these in our roadmap. Actively challenge stakeholders at all levels based on performance insights, and work closely with buying teams to provide the insights required to maximise results. 
Leading development teams and working with product/platform owners to align source systems to data needs. 
Ownership: Own the portfolio for effective information for procurement/category strategy development, key corporate and technology programs and procurement/category performance reporting. Ensure the data quality within the portfolio is at the right level for accurate reporting, lead improvement projects and oversee swift execution.  
Scope is (mainly) indirect procurement consisting of a wide range of Business Services, Commerce and Supply Chain spend categories. 
 
Key Leadership expectations: ability to shape the future: translating the (future) needs of buying teams and the procurement function to a feasible roadmap of developments, underpinned by strong abilities to connect and deliver. 

 

Communication skills:  

Strong stakeholder management skills to work across levels and functions, to challenge status quo and get collaboration and investment going. 
Good communication & written skills for concise documentation and leading our Agile.

Other skills:  

Highly analytical. Able to dissect challenges into detailed level root cause analyses and solutions, whilst always keeping one eye on delivering value for the company 
Capable of delivering high quality outputs whilst working under time pressure and being able to manage multiple tasks / situations at any one time. 
 
Required work experience in field of expertise:

Data literate with project management experience in a cross functional and multinational environment. Preferably with procurement and/or consulting experience. 

Functional skills: Strong & practical experience working with data, digital tools and Procurement, Sales, Marketing or Supply Chain platforms
