Business Controller - Strategy, Value & Analysis

 

Function/ Region: Global Business Control

Job purpose: Provide financial & value analyses, benchmarks, & insights across all areas of the company This role will have a focus on supporting the Program Board with general analyses, project support and financial business case & value tracking analyses across all areas of the company with specific focus on the top-25 Programs that are being run to deliver the EverGreen Strategy

Reports to: Senior Director Global Business Control

 

Role & Responsibilities

In order to ensure the delivery of the EverGreen strategy, the Program Board has been set-up as orchestrator on the top-25 Programs that HNV is running. The Program Board sits above the EverGreen workstreams and focuses on supporting the Programs in delivering on their business cases. The Program Board is supported by the Transformation Office as well as by Global Business Control and D&T and works closely with the main Programs. Your activities will be in the areas of

 

1.Business case management: Be an expert on the set-up and management of large-scale cross functional business cases from initiation of the Program until delivering the goods during implementation. Has a very strong understanding of our business and the impact that Programs will have on the Transformation of the Company.

 

2.Value tracking:  Responsible for the consistent set-up of tracking of key KPI’s and benefits across Programs throughout the lifecycle of the program both at a total Program level as well as for individual OpCos. Measure progress to ensure Programs deliver to the overall Evergreen ambitions. Develop appropriate BI dashboards to track progress on Program delivery. Strong drive to take leading/coordinating role mobilizing 1st layer of stakeholders and input providers

 

3.Support Program Board: Assist the Program Board in its monthly drumbeat with regular recurring updates and analyses as well as ad-hoc analyses condensing into presentation materials for executive decisions

 

Your profile:

Education: University level

Work experience: 8-10 years

Required work experience in field of expertise: relevant analytical / value work

Other fields of expertise: experience in Finance / Planning / (Strategic) Analysis

Functional skills: finance and business knowledge, strong analytical skills, experience with BI reporting

Languages: Fluent in English

Communication skills: Good presentation skills, strong stakeholder management, influencing skills within and outside Finance, team player & collaboration

Other skills: project management, creativity, independence, can deal with ambiguity
