What will you do as a Biomethane Engineering Lead?

In this role you will be responsible for translating HEINEKEN’s and customer needs into conceptual choices following into engineering solutions. Design, build, extend and revamp beverage production and brewing equipment against the optimal costs and optimal schedule focusing on Sustainability & Circularity requirements.

 

Further you will:

  • Collaborate with qualified facilitators for D-HAZOP and operational readiness assessments
  • Be responsible for realization of Biomethane plants investment projects (CapEx) in breweries around the world as part of a multi-disciplinary project team.
  • Work closely together with local and regional Brewery Management/shop floor and other key stakeholders all over the world.
  • Participate in biogas/biomethane production projects at various stages, from conceptual engineering to basic and execution engineering. 
  • Conduct technical, regulatory, CAPEX, and OPEX feasibility analyses to evaluate the viability and profitability of biogas projects.
  • Complete sustainability plans in projects by conducting site assessments, working on renewable energy assessments and advising on the latest low or zero-carbon technologies.

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for an ambitious professional who has next to the theoretical knowledge the capability to build good relations with internal and external stakeholders. Within this role you will cooperating with key stakeholders from all over the world. We therefore find it important that you are able to manage expectations, show leadership and never compromise on quality.

 

Next to these qualities we are also looking for someone who meets most of the requirements below:

  • Education: Practical Masters or Bachelors degree (e.g., mechanical engineering, food technology).
  • 5 + years of working experience within Supply Chain and with Project Management.
  • Technical Background in managing and optimizing systems related to Biogas production and utilization.
  • Experience with plug-and-play solutions in biogas management systems and knowledge of wastewater technologies.
  • Language: fluent in English is a must. Dutch, German or Spanish will be considered as a plus.
  • Be creative and most of all innovative and target oriented.
