Tax & Treasury Specialist

Tax & Treasury Specialist

Major Responsibilities of the Position:
 

<TAX>

  • Support Reporting & Accounting Manager for tax planning & risk management (all taxes); proper management UTPs, tax audits and all day-to-day tax compliances (e.g. filing returns and paying taxes in time)
  • Proper follow up on HTCF (Heineken Tax Control Framework) self-assessment recommendations and achieve full compliance
  • Review import duty and excise duties processes
  • VAT process and systems review (incl. implement VAT SOP, perform detailed EPR review and follow up on findings/recommendation)
  • Validate common VAT issues and contemplate performing VAT health check.
  • Optimize use of tax attributes and tax incentives; minimize non-deductible expense, optimize net financing costs, avoid double taxation and reduce non-creditable WHT
  • Assess TP documentation requirements and ensure proper documentation and defense files are in place
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation (Liquor tax, excise duty, VAT, CIT and WH Tax) and prepare guidelines to apply in daily operation
  • Review performance of external advisor
  • Development of tax knowledge and proactive tax advice to internal stakeholders

 

<Treasury>

  • Perform treasury activities in accordance with Group Treasury policies and local SOP
  • Ensuring compliance with local treasury rules and regulations.
  • Administer local banking relationships
  • Create a robust and reliable weekly cash forecasting report
  • Manage intercompany payment, intercompany loan and dividend payment
  • Conduct cash flow hedge and spot deal
  • Monitoring changes in local regulations and banking regulations and keep Finance Manager and Regional Treasury Manager updated about these regulations

Mandatory Requirements:
 

  • University degree, Major in Business Administration or Accounting
  • At least 2 years working experience in Korean tax
  • Good in verbal and written English (not perfect)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Familiar with Korean tax practice and ability work with Korean tax authorities.

 

Required Experience:

 

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Finance and Accounting at multinational companies
  • Working experience in liquor company is preferred
  • Experience of Tax audit/ customs audit is preferred
  • Good knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • CPA/ CTA/AICPA/EA is preferred
