The Cloud & Hosting product team broker Cloud and Platform Services to enable HEINEKEN’s teams and partners build Cloud Native Applications (run and built outside Cloud & Hosting’s remit). Supporting HEINEKEN by ensuring uptime and reliability of Foundational Infrastructure, while delivering the wide-ranging Teams at HEINEKEN their personal (secured) slice of the Cloud.
The Technology Specialist is one of the professionals who monitor the outsourced operations activities as well as work on continuous improvement by delivering a potentially releasable increment of the product at the end of a Sprint. The Technology Specialist (Engineer) supports the Product Owner in translating architecture and requirements into solutions and participates in the technical development and operations of the product.
Your responsibilities would include:
- ensuring consistency of the overall product and is together with other team members end-to-end responsible to deliver the value of a single Product through the entire Product life cycle
- working with and supports the Product Owner to understand, facilitate the gathering, definition and prioritization of requirements working towards delivering the strategic goal of the product
- participating in the selection of new technologies, manages the quality of the solution and technical debt
- providing guidance and coaching to other product team members on changes throughout the Platform design process
- identifying potential bottlenecks and their underlying causes that affect the product and proposes how to resolve these
- maintaining awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and architecture best practices; and evaluate them for applicability
- keeping up with relevant developments in the Cloud & Hosting area and ensures development, transfer and retention of knowledge
- delivering working product enhancements within the allocated timescale and quality standards that minimize rework and aspire a zero-defect culture.
About you:
- responsible for ensuring the overall HEINEKEN standards and best practices are adhered by (i.e. Quality, Compliance)
- self-organizing with other team members. There is no separate management layer, work is planned and executed by the team
- multidisciplinary – ensuring that the key competencies and expertise needed to develop, build, deploy and support the Product are embedded in the team
- a tech-savvy team member who develops Platform products with innovative elements
- willing to help other team members with removing impediments
- can reduce complexity of the work that has to be done. Looking at the strategy of our Cloud & Hosting product’s features with business stakeholders and further elicit requirements, proposed improvements and deliver deployments
- drives support, maintenance, continuous improvement through Partners and/or Service management. Ensuring optimum performance, availability, and security in accordance with security standards and policy
- builds relationships and a key-user network with different Operating Companies and Global HEINEKEN Functions to elicit feedback and derive actionable improvements, proactively communicate, educate, increase understanding and alignment of the product and its processes
- continuously aware of the security requirements of HEINEKEN and ensures that all ongoing improvements are aligned with these requirements
- understand business requirements and acceptance criteria in the form of user stories, assess the complexity of these and translate into implementable solutions and configurations
- ensures the product design and implementation adheres to functional requirements and architecture standards

You are a good candidate if you have:
- Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunictions, Electronics or other related studies
- cloud provider-specific certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
- a deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and marketplace services with a
- proficiency in cloud providers like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other relevant cloud platforms
- deep understanding of the Cloud Adoption Framework
- knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards and the ability to implement security measures to protect cloud resources, preferably with relevant certifications (AZ-500, CISSP or related)
- comprehensive understanding of reliability, encompassing Disaster Recovery (DR), High Availability (HA), and paired region replications
- understanding of identity and access management (IAM) in the cloud and Azure policies and role-based access control (RBAC)
- knowledge of load balancers, DNS, private endpoints, and other network-related services in the cloud
- scripting skills in languages such as Terraform for automating Azure tasks and processes
- hands-on experience in implementing Infrastructure-as-code workflows and automation
- familiarity with the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) public modules is essential
- ability to monitor cloud resources and set up alerting and monitoring solutions (e.g. Azure Log Analytics / AWS Cloud Watch)
- detailed understanding of (the role of infrastructure in relation to) modern Application Lifecycle Management (Release Pipelines, CI/CD), ‘Infrastructure as Code’ concepts and related Service Management (ITIL v4)
- knowledge of Azure Kubernetes, including its architecture, core components, and how to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes
- understanding of (modern) datacentre and networking concepts like co-location, DMZ, zoning, firewalls, routing, SD Wan, SDD
- familiar with cloud (cost) optimization options such as Azure Hybrid benefits, reservations, savings plans and azure advisor.
