Transport Planner (afternoon shift 12-20)

Your responsibilities would include:
- partnering effectively with external customers and internal supply chain organization, customer service and supply planning organization with focus on increased value and benefit realization
- primary day-to-day contact with carriers, specifically around issues and exception management
- communicating with customer sites about changes in deliveries (two-ways)
- assisting the operating company customer services with special requests for time definite deliveries and/or shipment-based transport selections
- daily execution of transportation planning activities including load consolidation, mode shift, and optimization of transportation routes
- managing any unrouteable issue during the optimization process within the timelines expected
- managing booking and execution of transportation loads
- monitoring status updates from carriers (in-transit, appointment, delivered etc.) and proactively communicating and resolves transportation exceptions
- acting decisively and engaging effectively with key stakeholders
- continuously seeking out opportunities to improve current processes
- proactive advising about improvements on transport planning scope, i.e. exclusion of lanes, simulation of new scenarios.
You would be working in an afternoon shift from 12:00-20:00pm
You are a good candidate if you have:
- good understanding/experience with OTM
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Logistics, or related field
- min 2 year experience in Supply Chain - understanding of transportation rules, regulations, standard processes and business policies,
- ability to develop and manage client and carrier relationships
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ability to manage and meet deadlines and multi-task daily activities
- professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office
- excellent written and verbal Polish & English.
