Test Manager
This role is part of HEINEKEN's Global Digital & Technology (D&T) department, specifically within Technology, Security & Operations (TS&O), supporting Global Test Management. HEINEKEN is in the transformation of innovation, bringing strong technology, advanced analytics, and agility, ensuring the company maintains a technological edge to meet its ambitious goals.
The Global Test team supports the hybrid organizational structure of D&T-owned products and functionally owned products, as well as large transformation programs like the Digital Backbone (DBB) and non-DBB. The goal is to support the already established organization and its Product Teams for testing to increase quality, efficiency and effectiveness in delivery and, on the other hand, transition the TS&O into a global test capability.
The Test Manager leads and delivers test capabilities across multiple test phases, including both preparation and execution, as well as processes and governance. He or she drives business value optimization and prioritization in alignment with Product Teams, Deployment Teams, Regions and Clients, as well as Functional Domains. The Test Manager is responsible for managing test cycles such as Global SIT, Local SIT, UAT, performance testing and security testing, operating in a traditional but predominantly Agile manner, while embedding standardized testing ways of working.
The purpose of the Test Manager role is to oversee and manage the planning, execution and delivery of comprehensive testing processes at Global, Regional or Operating Company level. The role ensures that software products and systems meet defined quality standards and function as intended prior to release.
Your responsibilities would include:

leading the delivery of test capabilities across various testing phases, including preparation, planning, execution, governance, and processes

managing and executing test cycles such as Global System Integration Testing (SIT), Local SIT, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Performance Testing, Security Testing, and more, primarily within an Agile framework

collaborating closely with Product Teams, Deployment Teams, Regional Teams, Clients, and Functional Domains to optimize and prioritize business value

managing, documenting, and updating the deployment test plan and agreeing on the testing approach with the Client

supporting the established D&T organization and its Product Teams, driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and effectiveness

reporting testing progress, defects, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders, reviewing and signing off the test exit report

supporting the transition of TS&O into a global test capability, ensuring alignment with the broader programme’s (e.g. DBB) strategy, roadmap, and deployments

ensuring the conceptual and technical integrity of solution features in line with the defined acceptance criteria.
You are a good candidate if you have:

experience in Test Manager and/or Project Manager positions

ability to define and assess test plan, timelines, milestones, objectives, scope, and acceptance criteria

proficiency in risk identification and management related to testing scope, data, environments, and resources
-
ability to apply risk-based testing approaches, define and monitor quality KPIs
-
expertise in driving value optimization and aligning testing strategies with product and deployment roadmaps
-
experience in delivering testing service to complex, long-term IT and business transformation programs
-
experience in leading transformational projects in developing centralised capabilities and setup, migrate and deployment to Clients in multiple geographic locations, time zones and cultures

knowledge of theoretical concepts related to software testing standards and ability to translate them into organizational context

understanding of test management processes, tools, and governance within a hybrid organizational structure
-
experience in managing projects/testing cycles in both traditional and Agile environments
-
understanding of non-functional testing domains, including performance, security, accessibility and regulatory compliance testing

understanding of test automation frameworks, CI/CD concept, ability to assess where automation vs. manual testing is most effective

proven track of success in driving process and technical improvement initiatives
-
ability to work in a matrix structure and collaborate across global teams, regions, and functional domains
-
strong communication and stakeholder management and communication skills; role will act as the bridge between development, testing, and business teams
-
ability to quickly react to unexpected test failures, environment issues, or release delays, as well as work around last-minute scope changes without compromising quality

positive, can-do attitude and problem-solving skills

experience in coaching development teams on shift-left testing, and fostering a quality-first mindset in delivery
