Technology Specialist- LAN Connectivity

The LAN Technology Specialist is part of the Connectivity Product team and is one of the professionals who do the work of delivering a potentially releasable increment of the product at the end of each sprint. Product Teams are structured and empowered by the organization to organize and manage their own work. The resulting synergy optimizes the Product Team’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.

 

The role requires collaboration with teams across various time zones and may involve international travel and flexibility to accommodate meetings and activities across different time zones.

 

 

Your responsibilities would include:

 

  • overseeing and maintaining LAN systems across all operating companies within the global corporate structure
  • providing high-level technical support and training tailored to the needs of a diverse, international user base
  • ensuring the transition of LAN services of business units to new network setups, with minimal disruption to business operations
  • executing the strategic project plans cascaded to align with global IT objectives and business goals
  • ensuring comprehensive documentation and compliance with global IT standards and protocols
  • engaging with vendors and stakeholders across different regions to secure network products and services that meet global standards
  • driving innovation by researching and implementing technologies that enhance global network efficiency and effectiveness
  • ensuring consistency of the overall product and is together with other team members end-to-end responsible for delivering the value of a single Product through the entire Product life cycle
  • working with and supporting the Product Owner to understand, facilitating the gathering, definition, and prioritization of requirements working towards delivering the strategic goal of the product
  • participating in the selection of new technologies, managing the quality of the solution, and technical debt
  • identifying potential bottlenecks and their underlying causes that affect the product and proposes how to resolve these
  • delivering working product enhancements within the allocated timescale and quality standards that minimize rework and aspire to a zero-defect culture
  • being responsible for ensuring the overall HEINEKEN standards and best practices are adhered to (i.e., Quality, Compliance)
  • being self-organizing with other team members. There is no separate management layer, work is planned and executed by the team
  • being multidisciplinary – ensuring that the key competencies and expertise needed to develop, build, deploy, and support the Product are embedded in the team.
  • being a dedicated team member, the Technology Specialist will remain assigned to the Product Team over longer periods of time
  • being a tech-savvy team member who develops products with innovative elements
  • being willing to help other team members with removing impediments
  • driving support, maintenance, and continuous improvement through Partners and/or Service management. Ensuring optimum performance, availability, and security in accordance with security standards and policy
  • building relationships and a key-user network with different Operating Companies and Global Heineken Functions to elicit feedback and derive actionable improvements, proactively communicating, educating, and increasing of the understanding and alignment of the product and its processes
  • interacting frequently with the Subject Matter Experts in Programs and Projects to align and deliver initiatives
  • contributing collectively to the Product team in delivering user stories contributing to the product increment and providing advice to the remote team
  • understanding business requirements and acceptance criteria in the form of user stories, assessing the complexity of these, and translating them into implementable solutions and configurations
  • ensuring the product design and implementation adheres to functional requirements and architecture standards
  • demonstrating product features during sprint reviews to stakeholders.

 

You are a good candidate if you have:

 

  • professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent with a focus on global IT practices
  • extensive experience in managing LAN systems in a multinational corporate environment
  • strong troubleshooting skills
  • proven track record of successful IT project management on a global scale
  • strong understanding of global IT regulations and the ability to navigate cross-cultural business practices
  • exceptional communication skills, with fluency in English and proficiency in additional languages beneficial
  • background in network engineering
  • technical understanding of Network security concepts and services
  • understanding of connectivity types like ethernet, wireless and cellular
  • understanding of network (related) services e.g. DNS, PKI, Radius, Active Directory, NetFlow, VPN, IPSEC, SSL and (Reverse) Proxy
  • understanding of network (related) infrastructure e.g. Infoblox, SolarWinds, Cisco ISE, ClearPass, DDI management and monitoring tools
  • understanding of Cisco (Catalyst and Meraki), Fortinet (SDWAN, Manager and Analyzer) and Aruba products and services
  • understanding of the ITIL process.
