Digital Integration platforms act as a neural system to enable various business processes across all business units, for our operations in over 190 countries globally. We enable and empower the exchange of millions of messages on a daily basis, securely with ultra-low latency. Additionally, our platforms support hundreds of developers across federated/ domain teams in developing and deploying interfaces according to the needs of all Heineken OpCos.
Over the past five years, the successful adoption of standardized Digital Integrations has resulted in a 100-fold increase in monthly message traffic processed through our integration platforms.
As a Technology Specialist, in the role of Solution Architect Digital Integration, you are a trusted solution advisor for Business Users and Federated Teams Developers. You will help our platform teams and delivery teams in choosing the right solution to build and maintain a highly-scalable, resilient, and cost-effective integration environment. You will take part together with Platform Architects in building high-resilience solutions, design, integration, architecture standards, and policies. You will also safeguard the E2E demand-to-operate processes of new integrations building so that it follows are standards and policies. You will work in close cooperation with Tribe Lead, Product Owners, Product Architect, Platform Architects, the integration SMEs, Federated Team Leads, Business Users, and our System Integrator partner(s).
You have a clear focus on guiding our delivery teams for the creation of stable, reusable, scalable integration solutions. You lead the discovery, creation, and deployment of our integration standards, policies, and guidelines. It’s your responsibility to build awareness of those documents across delivery teams and guide them in case of doubts. You will act as the SPOC for Federated Teams and Business Users to the Digital Integration World.
Lastly, you may be partnering with our vendors/suppliers and leading agencies to understand new integration trends, platform capabilities, and innovative design that support upscaling and reusability.
HEINEKEN follows a non-native Hybrid Integration Platform strategy. We have multiple integration platforms, each support a unique integration pattern. Each platform is owned by one of the Product Teams: IPaaS owns SAP (SAP PO and SAP CI) and Mulesoft, EDA(Event Driven Architecture) owns Boomi and Solace, API owns Azure API Management and GraphQL, EDI+MFT owns Seeburger. Around these platforms, we strive for maximal automation (UI-Path), for maximal transparency (NewRelic), highest code quality (SonarQube), and consistent release management (Azure Dev/Ops and CTS+).
Your responsibilities would include:
- defining architectural standards
- developing and maintaining architectural guidelines, principles, and standards for the integration development
- ensuring alignment with best practices, industry standards, and Heineken’s IT strategy.
- collaborating with the Tribe Lead to define the Solution Architects and Tribe’s vision, roadmap, and future capabilities
- supporting prioritization of new features and capabilities, considering technical challenges and long-term goals
- actively participate in the intake of new requirements
- understanding the background and technical limitations, followed by guidance on the best solution for new integration requirements
- doing technical consultation and problem-solving
- acting as a subject matter expert by advising the tribe lead, platform architects, developers, and stakeholders on complex topics.

- leading the analysis of existing integration solutions, identifying architectural optimizations, and driving the implementation of improvements
- understanding business needs and gathering feedback
- analyzing the current needs and trends, and leading the initiatives to address those needs
- collecting feedback from stakeholders and proposing actions to improve the tribe’s ways of working to maximize the delivered value
- knowledge sharing - maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture designs, processes, and integrations
- facilitating knowledge sharing and training sessions to onboard developers and stakeholders effectively.
You are a good candidate if you have:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in IT
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in an architect's role or similar, preferably in a field related to Digital Integration. The experience should include solution design, requirements management, stakeholder management, creation and maintenance of architecture guidelines and policies.
- strong knowledge of integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, TIBCO, Azure Integration Services, SAP Integration Suite) and their capabilities, including API management, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures
- expertise in designing scalable, reliable, and high-performing integrations
- strong understanding of event-driven and API driven architectures
- experience of working in a dynamic environment, changing priorities, with long term vision
- deep understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and their native integration capabilities
- knowledge of cloud-based services like serverless architecture, storage, and identity management
- strong ability to communicate architectural designs, technical solutions, and platform needs effectively to both technical and business stakeholders
- facilitates cross-functional collaboration among developers, product owners, security, and business architects
- proficiency in Agile methodologies and workflows, especially in product-oriented setups
- knowledge of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and associated tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
- fluent English, both written and spoken.
You are a perfect match if you also have:
- TOGAF certification
- Boomi, SAP, Mulesoft, or other integration-related certifications
- understanding of DevOps practices
