The Technology Procurement Consultant is part of the Procurement team and is one of the professionals who do the work of delivering a potentially releasable increment of the product at the end of each sprint. Teams within D&T Procurement are structured and empowered by the organization to organize and manage their own work. The resulting synergy optimizes the Team’s overall efficiency and effectiveness. The Technology Procurement Consultant supports Product Owners and customers in translating architecture and requirements into functional Procurement solutions and participates in the technical development of the product. Close collaboration with Product teams, incl. partners and OpCo’s is required to design, build and oversight initiatives in the procurement area.
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Technology Technical/Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and integrating complex IT systems within the procurement domain, ensuring seamless connectivity, and maintaining robust security protocols. This role requires a deep understanding of various technologies and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments to achieve organizational goals.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Application and Coordinate System Upgrades: Plan, coordinate, and implement system upgrades to enhance performance and security within the procurement tech stream.
- Managing Testing Automation and RPA: Develop and execute automated testing scripts and manage Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions to ensure the reliability and efficiency of procurement IT systems.
- Teams Orchestration: Coordinate and manage the orchestration of various IT processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the procurement tech stream.
- Global Data Refresh Operations: Manage and execute global data refresh processes to ensure data consistency and accuracy across all procurement systems.
- Coordinate Changes to Firewall/Certificates/Middleware Connectivity and Application Integrations: Configure and maintain firewall settings, manage digital certificates, and ensure secure middleware connectivity for procurement applications. Design and implement integration solutions to ensure seamless data flow between various procurement systems and applications.
- Triage: Perform triage on IT issues related to procurement systems to prioritize and address them effectively.
- Understanding Complex Landscape and System Architecture: Oversee the IT landscape of the procurement tech stream to ensure optimal performance and scalability. Design and implement IT architecture solutions that align with the organization's strategic goals within the procurement domain.
You are a good candidate if you have:
- At least 5 years experience in IT with a similar scope of responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and in writing); ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical people and identify and understand multiple stakeholders’ perspectives and “truths”
- Experience in delivering large-scale Procurement solutions and tools
- Experience in integrations between technologies
- Expert knowledge (senior level) of a Procurement platform (Ariba, Zycus, Ivalua, Coupa etc..)
- Ability to understand Business requirements and translate these into technology solutions
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment with a mixture of internal and vendor resources
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT systems integration and management, specifically within the procurement domain.
- Strong knowledge of middleware, integration, and orchestration technologies.
- Proficiency in automated testing and RPA tools.
- Experience with firewall configuration and management.
- Familiarity with digital certificates and secure communication protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and triage skills.
- Strong understanding of IT landscape and architecture principles.
