The Solution Engineer Lead is part of the Marketing Technology team within Global D&T Commerce and is one of the professionals who keep our Marketing Operations streamlined, structured and within service level agreement. The role is at the forefront of our digital marketing solutions.  The position is responsible for driving and managing the end-to-end operations of the marketing technology platforms. They understand the Product Owner's needs and translate them into operational specifications that align with the overall operational standards and roadmaps for the marketing technology operations. The Solution Engineer Lead manages a team of Solution Engineers and ensures timely delivery of all service requests coming in to the WebService team. The position is responsible for collaborating with the Technology Manager for MarTech as well as the Brand Platforms – Product Architect to ensure continuous support of our Operating Companies.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Team Support: Provide proactive support to our Product and Commerce (Marketing) teams by addressing technical queries, highlighting potential risks, and proposing improvements across different phases of the development cycle
  • Supporting marketing activations: Coordinating with Commerce to enact and get the most value on brand activations. Help deliver content from business stakeholders through our CMS to our websites
  • Quality Coordination: Coordinate with development teams to maintain the highest quality standards for the product. Ensure that all Heineken standards are rigorously applied, taking ownership of the outcome and not deferring responsibility to others. This includes working with developers and QA to align on test plans and quality assurance
  • Security Implementation: Ensure that security best practices are fully implemented to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. Work with Pen Test vendors and our internal Security team to proactively address security concerns
  • Take Ownership: Proactively take ownership of all technical responsibilities, ensuring issues are addressed directly and not deferred to others. Collaborate closely with our in-house development team (Tiger Tribe), Pen Test vendors, and other technical partners to resolve challenges and drive successful outcomes
  • Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Create comprehensive documentation and processes to ensure ongoing support and facilitate easy transfer of knowledge. Take full responsibility for ensuring that these resources are thorough and accessible
  • Vendor and agency coordination experience: Manage Vendor engagements and contracts if needed in coordination with the Technology Manager 
  • Application Stability and Performance: Ensure the stability and performance of Heineken’s existing applications, including Desperados Dance Club, ChinChin (UK), Hei! (BR), and others
  • User management: Auditing accesses & recurrently checking accesses for different platforms and regulating their access
  • Onboarding & Mentoring: Onboard and mentor colleagues in junior / regular solution engineer position with up-to-date WebServices experience
  • Solution Architecture: Co-drive possible solutions together with the Brand Platforms Product Architect
  • Team management: Lead the team of WebService Solution Engineers and ensure their professional development. Ensure proper delegation of tasks, set KPIs and manage performance of the team
  • Strategy & Vision: Provide the future vision of WebServices and be up to date with market developments and best practices

 

You are a good match if you have:

  • Experience in helping run braded activations from a technical perspective
  • Experience and/or ambition of leading a team

  • You have experience in working with Business Intelligence Tools (nice to have)
  • Mandatory to know: HTML, CSS, Basic JavaScript, Content Management System Experience (preference Umbraco and Contentful), User Analytics (Google Analytics), Tag Management (Google Tag Manager)
