Senior Treasury Controller

The Senior Treasury Controller is responsible for appropriate accounting, control and financial reporting of treasury activities, including complex financial instruments. Acting as a key interface between Global Treasury and external auditors, the role ensures compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, strengthens financial control, and supports management through high-quality analysis and transparent reporting.

 

 

Your responsibilities would include:

 

 

  • Ensuring effective and accurate processing, accounting and reporting of Treasury and Subsidiary transactions in HEINEKEN Corporate Office entities
  • Leading, coordinating, and overseeing the month-, quarter-, and year-end Treasury closing process for (relevant) European and Corporate Office entities, ensuring robust controls, thorough validation of balances, and full compliance with reporting requirements
  • Ensuing proper control over Treasury Front Office activities and daily Treasury payments
  • Being  seen as a specialist with expertise in Treasury control, accounting and reporting
  • Preparing and regularly updating required hedge documentations for Cash flow, Net investment and Fair value hedging
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly Treasury reporting and improving reporting process and output
  • Leading the annual audit process
  • Handling all Mid‑ and Back‑office issues and queries effectively and efficiently
  • Driving process improvements for daily operational activities and look for automation opportunities for the processes in the Treasury accounting & reporting function
  • Participating actively in the further development of Treasury Management System (Kyriba) and proposing and exploiting improvements of Treasury processes

 

 

You are a good match if you have:

 

 

  • Master degree in Business Economics or Accounting + above average learning agility
  • 5 - 7 years including exposure to cross-functional and complex international environment
  • Experience working in the field of: Treasury, Treasury Control or Treasury Accounting & Reporting (at a Corporate Treasury department or with BIG 4 Audit teams)
  • Other fields of expertise: Business Control, Audit, IFRS and IT
  • Functional skills: SAP, Kyriba, CIL, advanced MS Excel & Power BI, Python, passion for Treasury, financial risk management and Treasury accounting (incl. IFRS 9)
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong communication skills. Communicates through understanding, influencing and/or serving others
  • Change management drive towards improving processes
  • Other skills: First time right mentality, critical thinking, problem solving skills, building collaborative relationships, energetic can-do mentality
