Senior Demand Planner
Introduction
In 2026 we will start to build a Central European Demand Planning team in Krakow. You have the unique chance to join this team and be part of an exciting journey! The Central Demand Planning will provide the statistical forecast to our European operating companies. We will do that using a variety of Demand Planning tools (Blue Yonder and FuturMaster). In the coming 2 years the central team will grow to around 13 people. During that same period, we will onboard European operating companies one by one and start working closely with their local planning teams.
Job purpose:
Ensure the generation of a reliable Machine Learning (ML) (or statistical) forecast by securing and validating inputs of demand causal factors, leading forecast stability assessments, and overseeing performance monitoring and improvement. The role enables our operating companies to enrich and align the demand plan, while driving continuous improvement and ensuring best practices in activities such as outlier cleansing where applicable. Additionally, the Senior Demand Planner acts as a mentor and coach to junior planners, supporting their development and ensuring consistent application of methodologies across the Hub.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Validate master and transactional data; update & refresh demand causal factors; manage & resolve data exceptions, maintain DFUs/NPI lifecycle
- Review and validate ML or statistical forecast quality by leading forecast stability assessments, applying cleansing strategies, and consulting operating companies on intervention cases.
- Conduct ML forecast handover meetings, ensuring demand for causal factors are clear, and operating companies are guided in enrichment.
- Provide coaching and methodological guidance to junior demand planners to ensure consistent quality and alignment in forecast management activities.
- Provide support to operating companies in preparation for BB and DR meetings; represent Hub in BB/DR to explain ML forecast drivers and address challenges.
- Share causal factor insights, market learnings, and provide guidance/templates for scenarios and risk & opportunity (R&O) documentation; lead scenario modelling discussions with operating companies.
- Take ownership of mature/difficult operating companies, requiring higher autonomy, advanced analytics, and proactive issue resolution.
- Lead performance management by analyzing KPIs and PPIs; conduct weekly/monthly forecast performance meetings with operating companies and drive enrichment improvements.
- Ensure cadence, adherence and governance; escalate risks to the Demand Planning Manager and drive resolution where needed.
You are a good candidate if you have:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- Work experience: 3-5 years
- Required work experience in field of expertise: demand planning, Machine Learning forecasting, supply chain management and transformation
- Beneficial: demonstrated experience working for a multinational organization, FMCG/Beverage industry experience
- Other fields of expertise: experience in operating companies supply chain,
- Functional skills: supply chain planning, Microsoft Office, experience working with Blue Yonder or FuturMaster (preferred)
- Languages: English (Required); second language (nice to have)
