This role is a part of the Data Management Department, Digital & Technology Global Team (D&T) of HEINEKEN International.
The role is part of the Data Insights and Serving chapter, being part of Enabling Data Platforms tower, with the aim to to deliver end to end Data Insights for the entire Data Management Department as well as develop, maintain the capability to provide access to data in a controlled, scalable and timely manner. The responsibility of the chapter is to ensure data is easily discoverable and accessible by organizing and structuring it in a data catalogue and marketplace. This includes developing a system where internal teams can quickly find data sets that are categorized, validated and accessible This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders, data teams, and technology, ensuring that data insights and services align with business needs and create value.
Your responsibilities would include:
- maintaining a data catalog and marketplace to ensure data is easily discoverable and accessible
- improving metadata management practices to categorize and documenting datasets and other data products effectively.
- maintaining data access policies, ensuring compliance with governance and security standards
- maintaining data-sharing frameworks to provide controlled, scalable, and timely access to data
- optimizing data pipelines and workflows to ensure seamless data serving across various platforms
- working closely with data engineers, architects, and platform teams for the maintenance of infrastructures and tools
- collaborating with business users, data teams, and technology teams, to maintain the alignment of data initiatives with business objectives
- providing guidance and training to business users on how to effectively utilize data insights and platforms
- collaborating to assess and enhance data usability, ensuring a seamless experience for internal stakeholders
- supporting the adherence to data governance frameworks and industry best practices
- supporting compliance with data privacy and security regulations while enabling efficient data access.
You are a good candidate if you have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field
- 7 years of experience in data cataloguing, metadata management, and data marketplace tools
- the ability to translate business needs into data solutions and drive data culture adoption across teams
- stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams
- hands on experience working with data visualization and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- familiarity with data governance principles, access control mechanisms, and security best practices
- hands-on experience in data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and applications (e.g. Collibra, Power Me, Data Bricks etc)
- relevant certifications in data governance, data management, or analytics platforms (e.g., DAMA, Microsoft Azure Data certifications) are a plus
- excellent written and verbal English.
