This role is a part of the Data Management Department, Digital & Technology Global Team (D&T) of HEINEKEN International.
Its purpose is to define and drive the vision and strategy for the organization's Data Dictionary product globally.
The Data Dictionary Product Owner is responsible for the strategic development and management of the organization’s data dictionary, ensuring it serves as the authoritative source for translating business language into standardized data definitions, business terms, and rules across all global business domains.
The Data Dictionary Product Owner is also accountable for the ownership and evolution of the data dictionary tool, working cross-functionally to drive continuous improvements in the tool’s functionality, usability, and alignment with business needs.
As result the product owner is accountable and responsible for defining feature roadmap and making sure this is connected to the epics and outcomes (impact & value).
Your responsibilities would include:
• defining and delivering business value e2e: creating Product’s vision, owns the product, ensures that the product evolves in alignment with business goals and data management strategies
• collaborating with technology vendors and 3rd party partners on their technology roadmaps to meet future demand and optimize the service delivery
• representing “the voice of the customer” and strives to understand and reflect it in product roadmap and design
• engaging with key business stakeholders (e.g. data analysts, solution architects, business units) to gather and define requirements for the data dictionary. Manages expectations and provide regular updates on progress
• owning and managing Product Backlog: reflecting requirements in User Stories prioritizes features and ensures successful execution of data dictionary-related initiatives
• ensuring the delivered solution is consistent with the requirements, verifies the product increment against the plan and oversees the quality of implementation
• working closely with the Product Team, Chapter Lead and Scrum master to ensure alignment on priorities, processes, and resource allocation
• working closely with the relevant Architects to ensure alignment on solution development, scalability, robustness and security that is within the right architectural guidance
• maintaining awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices and evaluate them for applicability
• owning the end-to-end budget for the product, e.g. resources, investment, consultancy and technology.
You are a good candidate if you have:
• Bachelor/Master's degree
• 10 years of relevant in the data related field
• proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, preferably in data-related products (Collibra) or data governance
• strong experience in managing product backlogs, defining requirements
• experience in working with Agile teams
• excellent analytical skills: ability to identify opportunities, assess needs, and define solutions that meet business goals
• strong problem-solving focus, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic objectives
• ability to think critically and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• proven ability to connect and develop the right stakeholder network to ensure requirements and product development delivers the right business value
• familiarity with data dictionary tools and systems
• good knowledge of data governance frameworks and standards
• process management and risk management.
