As a Product Architect (PA) Connectivity you are part of the Global Connectivity Team, which is part of the Global TechBase Portfolio within D&T. As a Product Architect you understand the organizational and business needs and convert them into connectivity architecture specifications that can be used to put the right solutions in place. You translate these needs into the D&T Product Architecture that conforms to Enterprise Architectural standards and roadmaps. The Enterprise and Domain architects in D&T shape the overall landscape together with the other where this role focusses on the connectivity side of the landscape.
As a Connectivity Product Architect, you will play a vital role in defining HEINEKEN enterprise network strategy, improving the pathways for how data is transmitted between an increasingly complex digital landscape, while ensuring sufficient protections, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
The Product Architect supports the team in delivery and maintenance of the Connectivity Product and keeps on ensuring alignment with the business strategy. The Connectivity Team reports into the TechBase Global Portfolio. Apart from the Connectivity Team, also the Cloud & Hosting Product Team, the End User Devices Product Team and the Collaboration Product Team report into the TechBase Portfolio.
Your responsibilities would include:
- owning the connectivity product architecture for world-class network solutions at HEINEKEN, including monitoring, predictive/proactive analytics, automated self-healing, and rapid recovery
- identifying, defining, developing, and publishing KPIs and operational scorecards to monitor network system performance
- collaborating with Enterprise Architecture to define architectural standards for networking solutions and developing roadmaps, including throughput sizing, pathway design, carrier and path diversity, system resiliency designs, and efficient operational management standards
- guiding end-to-end engineering efforts for networking products, including SDWAN, firewall, wireless, IoMT, IP/DNS, VPN, and load balancing technologies
- working with network technologies and services in an international environment and setup
- applying knowledge of Wide and Local Area Network (WAN/LAN) services, network architecture, and technologies such as access points, routers, switches, and VPNs, both in the IT domain and in the production control domain (PCD or OT environments)
- conducting continuous improvement analysis on networking architecture and solutions and identifying architectural optimizations
- managing internal stakeholders across all functional domains (e.g., Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance) and establishing deep relationships with key stakeholders within the Digital & Technology service department, including Information Security, Data & Analytics, application leadership, and external partners like Orange Business, Aviatrix, NTT, Fortinet, and Cisco
- maintaining awareness of emerging networking technologies, industry trends, and architecture best practices and evaluating them for applicability and consistency with the overall D&T Product
- utilizing deep problem-solving and critical thinking skills to develop solutions for complex challenges across the HEINEKEN networking ecosystem and creating solutions using modern networking modalities
- co-owning the connectivity roadmap with the Product Owner Connectivity and safeguarding Connectivity Technology Standards, Solution Directions, Risk/Security assessments, Standard Operational Procedures, and governance documentation
- bringing the connectivity viewpoint into the definition and delivery of the overall architecture of the HEINEKEN IT Landscape.
You are a good candidate if you have:
- a master’s degree in IT or equivalent experience
- work experience in a complex international environment (across multiple countries/regions)
- strong leadership experience in Connectivity and Networking within a multinational setting
- proven experience in identifying, selecting, and implementing relevant new technologies, with the ability to influence business decisions through a formal global financial business case for related services
- an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to connect with both internal and external audiences, including senior management
- a sense of urgency in enabling and supporting Operations Companies (OpCos) with related services
- knowledge of cloud environments, supported by certification or hands-on experience
- strong collaboration skills, an agile mindset, and experience working in an Agile environment
- expertise in enterprise integration, (hyper) automation, cloud networking, ITIL-based service delivery, IT operations support, cybersecurity, and quality assurance
- a clear focus on shaping the future and connecting with the right stakeholders to drive the connectivity architecture roadmap
- the ability to understand what it takes to develop both yourself and others to achieve this vision
- excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
