The Observability Community Manager plays a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant community centered around observability practices, tools, and technologies. This position is essential for bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that the value of observability is effectively communicated and understood.

Your responsibilities would include:

• community engaging: building and nurturing a community of observability practitioners, facilitating discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across various platforms
• educating and advocating: developing educational content and resources that highlight the importance of observability in enhancing system performance and reliability. Advocating for best practices in observability to both technical and non-technical audiences
• collaborating with stakeholders: working closely with product teams, engineering, and marketing to align community initiatives with organizational goals. Ensuring that community feedback informs product development and improvements
• coordinating events: organizing webinars, workshops, and conferences to promote observability topics, gathering insights from community members, and fostering networking opportunities
• analyzing data-driven insights: utilizing metrics from community interactions to assess engagement levels and identify areas for improvement. Presenting findings to leadership to demonstrate the impact of community initiatives on business outcomes.

You are a good candidate if you have:

• hands-on experience with observability tools and practices (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog)
• demonstrated experience in organizing events, webinars, or workshops that engage technical audiences
• strong understanding of software development and IT operations (DevOps) principles
• familiarity with monitoring and logging technologies, including metrics collection and analysis
• exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
• proven ability to create engaging content, such as blog posts, tutorials, or presentations 
• ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, encouraging teamwork and knowledge sharing to achieve common goals
• strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas in a simple and understandable manner to diverse audiences
• commitment to delivering high-quality work, continuously seeking ways to improve processes and outcomes
• excellent written and verbal English.

You are a perfect match if you also have:

• experience in Product Management or Marketing, particularly related to software products or observability solutions
• experience with Social Media Management and online community platforms (e.g., Slack, Discord, Reddit)
• track record of building partnerships with industry organizations or influencers to enhance community outreach
• experience with Data Analysis Tools to measure community engagement and derive actionable insights.
