Junior Transport Planner (afternoon shift 12-20)

Your responsibilities would include: 

• primary day-to-day contact with carriers, specifically around issues and exception management
• communicating with customer sites about changes in deliveries (two-ways)
• assisting the OpCo customer services with special requests for time definite deliveries and/or shipment-based transport selections
• daily execution of transportation planning activities including load consolidation, mode shift, and optimization of transportation routes
• managing any unrouteable issue during the optimization process within the timelines expected
• managing booking and execution of transportation loads
• monitoring status updates from carriers (in-transit, appointment, delivered etc.) and proactively communicating and resolves transportation exceptions.
   

You would be working in an afternoon shift from 12:00-20:00 pm.

You are a good candidate if you have:

• system and platforms proficiency (SAP/TMS)
• ability to develop and manage Client and Carrier relationships
• strong analytical, problem-solving and multitasking skills
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Logistics, or related field
• ability to manage and meet deadlines and multi-task daily activities
• excellent written and verbal English
• professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

You are a perfect match if you also have:

• familiarity with transportation industry standards and business policies.
