Junior Bank Statement Processing Specialist (6 months contract)

Your responsibilities would include:

 

  • Allocation of all payment types and daily processing/reconciliation of bank statements
  • Managing Direct Debit process
  • Managing all kinds of refunds, rejected and bounced payments
  • Cash allocation and proper recording of incoming and outgoing payments
  • Cleaning and clearing customers, vendors, and GL accounts
  • Customer-Vendors Netting process
  • Preparing and posting journal entries
  • Preparing documentation for balance sheet accounts reconciliation
  • Providing audit support specific to area of responsibility
  • Performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in a timely and accurate manner
  • Responding to queries via e-mail/telephone in alignment with service management processes
  • Maintaining process documentation of your area of responsibilities up to date
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders and other Sub-Ledger teams (PTP, RTR)
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial data

 

You are a good candidate if you have:

 

  • 0–1 year of experience in finance, accounting, or shared services (internships acceptable)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debit/credit, reconciliation)
  • Understanding of banking processes, payments, and financial documentation
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • Strong organizational skills and a structured approach to routine tasks
  • Analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail when working with numerical data
  • Ability to work under time pressure, especially during month-end closing
  • Engagement and drive for personal development
  • Team player with collaborative mindset and ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Written and verbal communication skills

 

Technical skills:

 

  • Good command of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Experience or familiarity with ERP systems (SAP is an advantage)
  • Ability to work with different systems (SAP, Autobank, Heiflow, etc.)
  • Understanding of E2E process
  • Continuous Process Improvement mindset
