The role purpose of a Global Test Lead is to oversee and manage the (strategic) planning, execution, and delivery of comprehensive testing processes. The Global Test Lead Europe is responsible for ensuring that software products and systems meet defined quality standards, covers the end-end process across functions as intended before release.
In essence, the Global Test Lead is crucial in integrating testing into the software development lifecycle for DBB. The focus is on delivering high-quality products that meet business needs, particularly for Local System Integration Tests and User Acceptance Tests. Additionally, the Global Test Lead manages a team of Test Managers and Defect Managers, supporting the DBB transformation through effective deployment.
Your responsibilities would include:

providing guidance on test strategy, planning, and execution across multiple projects, deployments, or teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines. Working closely with the DBB Manager Regional Programme Deploy & Value Capture

ensuring the overall quality, reliability, and performance of products by managing the design, execution, and reporting of testing activities, including functional, non-functional, performance, and security testing

acting as a liaison between different teams (e.g., development, product, business, regional, OpCo, and deployment teams) to ensure smooth test planning and defect management, proactively addressing test-related issues

leading testing initiatives in both traditional and Agile environments, embedding testing practices into Agile workflows, and ensuring continuous testing and integration
-
guiding and mentoring test managers, fostering a culture of quality, and ensuring skill development within the testing team and across teams involved in testing and defect resolution
-
driving process optimization by continuously improving testing methodologies, tools, and governance to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in test delivery
-
identifying risks related to testing activities, assessing their impact, and providing mitigation strategies to ensure the timely and successful release of high-quality software products
-
leading the delivery of test capabilities across various phases, including preparation, execution, governance, and oversight of testing processes
-
collaborating closely with Product Teams, Deployment Teams, Regional Teams, OpCos, and Functional Domains to optimize and prioritize business value

guiding the execution of all end-to-end (integrated) testing activities by leading a team of appointed testing members and mobilizing relevant resources to achieve results

managing and executing test cycles such as Global System Integration Testing (SIT), Local SIT, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Performance Testing, and Security Testing, primarily within an Agile framework

supporting the established D&T organization and its Product Teams by driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and effectiveness

transitioning TP&S into a global test capability, ensuring alignment with the broader Digital Backbone (DBB) roadmap and deployments
-
leading the test transformation of both Digital Backbone and non-DBB deployments, including pilot OpCos, and embedding global test methodologies.
You are a good candidate if you have:

10+ years of work experience

strong leadership skills with a background in both technical and business experience including a proven track record of managing and connecting to stakeholders within a corporate environment

process (end-to-end) oriented thinking, combination of analytical and conceptual thinking

leadership skills with a background on both technical and business experience including a proven track record of managing and connecting to stakeholders within a corporate environment

expertise in defining test plan, test design, environment configuration, and centrally coordinate all test activities with OpCo(s)

competence in identifying define test need, test goals and expected results for each phase
-
capability to develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes; manage quality improvement initiatives, drive root cause analysis for business testing gaps, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence
-
skill in monitoring issue and risks appropriately, and drive them to resolution
-
experience in recognizing change management issues and risks at their earliest introduction; develop recommendations and mitigating strategies

proficiency in managing project communications & status reporting (e.g. project performance metrics/KPIs)

analytical capabilities, a proactive learner, passion for quality, result oriented, innovative and flexible

strong skills in stakeholder management and in building relationships and collaboration at all levels of the organization
