GPM Senior Product Specialist AFC

As Senior Product Specialist for RTR products, you will provide highly specialized financial and accounting expertise. This expertise will support decision making for product development. It will also enable to answer to complex financial and accounting challenges and processes from OpCos, leading to build product features which would solution their challenges. You will be involved in financial analysis of reported figures in balance sheet and P&L, you will support our OpCos during acquisitions, disposals and other structural changes.
Your responsibilities would include:
- Supporting Product Owner in proactive managing respective finance product
- Working as part of product team to increase the product value and realize product backlog
- Providing specialized E2E process and product knowledge to the internal and external stakeholders
- Validating the process designs
- Translating the process standards into solutions into supporting technology
- Identifying, owning and driving product related improvements
- Proposing to Product Owner redesigns of existing process and implementation of new functionalities based on the analysis of improvement opportunities
- Assessing change requests (CRs, BRDs) to implement new functionalities and driving the implementation
- Day to day product maintenance – monitoring business changes to be implemented and providing D&T with requests and information required for implementation.
- Analysing issues and incidents before they are handed over to D&T team or product solution provider
- Providing functional / business assessment of issues and incidents
- Performing functional / business testing of new or fixed functionalities (D&T performs technical testing as a first step, then it must be handed to functional support)
- Coordinating UAT with key users
- Ensuring process changes are properly implemented using the release management procedure
- Delivering refreshment trainings to key and end users
- Keeping training materials up to date
- Supporting system upgrades, new service packs and new notes implementation
- Supporting globally driven changes impacting the tool set-up, e.g. new IFRS implementation
- Acting as a first point of contact for escalations
- Guiding OpCos in scope to follow the standard process
- Ensuring process changes are modelled/updated in HEPM
- Ensuring OpCo maintain compliance with Data Management Standards
- KPIs/PPIs measurement (quality, time etc)
- Measuring the template usage
- Close cooperation with RAP and GA&R teams to drive complex RTR topics impacting products design
- Providing financial and accounting expertise within product team and towards OpCos
- Providing financial consolidation expertise towards OpCos and external product team stakeholders
- Supporting OpCos during acquisitions, disposals and other structural changes
- Analysing reported figures in balance sheet and P&L to support complex queries resolution
- Proposing improvements in product and process based on critical analysis of financial figures
You are a good candidate if you have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in e.g. Accounting or Management Accounting or Management Information Systems
- A deep understanding of finance processes, including end-to-end Record to Report (RtR) and Period End Close (PEC) processes, is crucial.
- Proven experience as Runbook/Cadency/BlackLine /AFC closing task modules
- Familiarity with financial software and tools like S/4HANA
- Understanding and knowledge of Heineken RtR Global Standards, like Design Book, templates, and procedures
- Effective communication skills are essential for explaining complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed
- The ability to work effectively with various departments and stakeholders to ensure that financial processes are supported effectively in line with global requirements
- End to end knowledge and expertise relate to the process area of the product
- Ability to understand the end-to-end process strategy and the application to the tasks and responsibilities of this position and explain them to the relevant stakeholders
- Knowledge and Expertise in respective finance product:
- SAP Advanced Financial Closing: process Period end close
- Group Financial Reporting product: process of intracompany and local consolidation, supported by ICMR and SAP GR
- Blackline: process Balance sheet account reconciliation
- Proven experience with exposure to multiple tools and methodologies and familiarity with an ERP system
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Strong and effective communication and presentation skills, strategic thinking, effective time management
- Ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
