Freight Cost Analyst

Your responsibilities would include:

 

  • freight cost claims and cost settlement management
  • addressing freight bill disputes directly with logistics service providers
  • validating information with OpCo, request approvals when required
  • monitoring and manage extra claims cost, evidence, and approvals
  • validating freight cost calculation and amounts for invoicing
  • analyzing invoice mismatches informed by freight forwarders, against OTM Rate cards identifying the reason code and root cause
  • serving as a single point of contact for any freight cost issues and escalate if required
  • analyzing and optimizes freight cost settlement activities to standardize process across OpCos
  • rating master data and planning parameters maintenance
  • processing (OpCo) freight rates update requests in OTM
  • overseeing and manage freight cost functions in OTM
  • maintaining planning parameters in OTM (e.g. truck sizes, location restrictions, etc.)
  • benchmarking freight rates structures across OpCos.

 

You are a good candidate if you have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Logistics, or related field
  • experience working in freight bill audit processes, disputes, procurement processes or similar (financial analysis)
  • very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • high attention to details
  • ability to manage and meet deadlines and multi-task daily activities
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel, Power BI)
  • experience working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally
  • excellent written and verbal English.

 

You are a perfect match if you also have:

 

  • understanding of transportation rules, regulations, standard processes, and business policies
  • good understanding/experience with Oracle Transportation Management tool
  • training and certification in Six Sigma or LEAN, or similar quality management experience
  • knowledge of VBA
  • proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
