This role is part of the global Data Management organization that drives Connected Data across global markets and functions to accelerate value creation from analytics & AI.

Strong, scalable data foundations are essential to unlock the value of data across our Global Functions and OpCos. As a Data Platform Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in driving our data strategies and transforming how we manage, process, and analyze large-scale data into consumable Connected Data products.

Your responsibilities would include:

• owning the solution architecture for Data Platforms in alignment with Enterprise architecture, Data technology Product Owners and the overarching HEINEKEN’s business goals and the Connected Data vision
• developing reference architectures for our Microsoft Azure & Databricks based analytics platform with clear architectural principles, patterns and reusable components
• engaging with the Data Management stakeholders and platform product owners on enhancements to their service and platform offerings and ensuring seamless integrations across the multiple data platforms & tools
• introduce & adopt the latest advancements in data platforms, dataops, MLops, data engineering and automation, making it relevant in the HEINEKEN operating reality and apply
• this knowledge to continue to develop Data and AI capabilities within HEINEKEN
• defining platform-level architecture principles and collaborate, mentoring and guiding data engineering teams to design robust, scalable, reusable data pipelines and components
• designing enhancements to our scalable data processing frameworks that support both streaming and batch workloads, aligning with our metadata-driven architecture.
• collaborating with cross-functional teams to create solutions architecture for seamless ETL/ELT processes and drive performance optimization
• contributing to continuous improvement in performance and scalability, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with Apache Spark and Databricks.

You are a good candidate if you have:

• have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or related field
• have at least 6 years of relevant experience in data architecture, data engineering, cloud engineering and platform architecture, with a proven track record of leading data initiatives within a large enterprise environment
• demonstrated experience in designing enterprise-scale data platforms and integrating with both legacy and modern systems
• have expertise in Databricks, Azure Data Services, SAP Data integration, and AI/ML engineering platforms
• are a strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into future-proof platform capabilities
• have strong leadership through influence; able to influence across market teams, delivery HUBs and Global Functions
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and scalable solutions.
