The Data Lineage Tools and Data Lifecycle Platform Product Architect (Technology Specialist) plays a pivotal role with the product teams for Data Lineage and Data Lifecycle platform. The Product Architect is responsible for the platforms architecture, technical & development standards and support, operation and scaling of the platform to our operating companies and global functions.

The Product Architect owns the end-to-end architecture for the product(s). He understands Product Owners needs and converts them into solution architecture specifications in line with overall architectural standards and roadmaps. The architect operates as part of the devops team(s) and enables delivery of potentially releasable increment of the product at the end of each sprint.

The Data Lineage Tools and Data Lifecycle Platform Product Architect will be working as part of the product devops team and supports the designing, building and delivering of expertise and support to features and agile projects related to the data & analytics domain. In your role as product architect you will be involved in many different programs that require end to end data lineage, data refreshes, or archiving and define and resolve the objectives of these programs from a platform technology perspective.

Within HEINEKEN the data lineage platform is based on PowerMe providing lineage from sources to data platform and reporting. PowerMe also feeds our Data Governance platform (Collibra). The data lifecycle product uses several best of breed products for data refreshes, client synchronization, scrambling, archiving and document management.


Your responsibilities would include:

  • Formulates the architecture & design based on functional and non-functional requirements, balancing the goals and constraints on the product platforms;
  • Collaborates with Domain and Enterprise Architect, as well as the product architects of closely related products to ensure it conforms to overall architectural vision and technical roadmap;
  • Collaborate with technology vendors and our delivery partners on their technology roadmaps to meet future demand and optimize the service delivery to our internal customers;
  • Maintains awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and architecture best practices; and evaluate them for applicability;
  • Provides guidance and coaching to other product team members on the architecture design and enhancements throughout the design process;
  • Verifies the implementation—ensure the delivered system is consistent with the agreed architecture and meet the requirements.
  • Conducts continuous improvement analysis on existing technology architectures and identifies architectural optimizations;
  • Embeds security by design in accordance with HEINEKEN security requirements and ensures that all ongoing improvements are aligned with these requirements.


You are a good candidate if you have:

  • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics or other related studies, complimented with relevant certifications in technology stacks relevant in the area of data lineage or data lifecycle management;
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and in writing): ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical people;
  • Is a team player and is able to work effectively at all levels of the product teams with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus;
  • Be able to identify and understand multiple stakeholder perspectives and "truths" and bring an open mind to understanding and build on the views of others.
  • 6+ years’ experience required in a similar product architecture or lead role in a complex international environment / FMCG industry
  • experience and expertise in designing and developing software solutions that provide comprehensive data lineage tracking and visualization capabilities
  • Proven and strong experience (hands-on development) in the area of data lineage and/or data life cycle
  • Deep knowledge of integration of lineage tools with existing data management and analytics platforms. This includes integrating with data cataloguing systems, ETL pipelines, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience in hosting and maintaining software applications on private and public cloud
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience in architecture and solution design, including documenting and communicating/presenting to stakeholders
  • Experience in analysing new technology developments and applicability of these new developments in existing and new solution designs
  • Experience in working in distributed devops team across on-shore, nearshore and off-shore locations
  • Fluent English
