Data Governance Lead

The Data Governance Lead position is in Data Management, part of D&T Global, HEINEKEN International. Data Management plays a critical part in Evergreen to build a solid data foundation through data standardisation and harmonisation: a critical part of Data Management Governance is to ensure we are enabling the compliance to regulatory requirements pertaining data and AI, translate activities into workflows and effective requirements, monitor proactively risks and compliance, establish and maintain governance processes across the Heineken Landscape.

 

Your responsibilities would include:

 

  • interfacing with internal stakeholders and collaborating with the Legal department, P&CI, Audit, security, Opcos, Regions and Functions
  • ensuring preparation of tools, workflows, processes, to enable the Heineken teams to comply to regulatory requirements
  • setting up monitoring of key data risks and assessments at function/ project/ Opco level
  • developing a plan and overseeing execution of relevant initiatives and tooling – providing requirements to technical teams, developing change playbooks for Opcos, developing relevant processes to enable governance
  • assessing and developing a plan for governance of different data sets: Reference data, master data, transactional data, alignment to DBB template (in alignment with Design Team), data products
  • developing a change management plan for embedding data ownership for different data (data assets, data products – as per our KDD) across the organisation
  • designing and initiating relevant monitoring and control at a regional and functional level.

 

You are a good candidate if you have

 

  • 5+ years in a Data related role
  • good knowledge and experience in data governance
  • excellent communication skills (both verbal and in writing)
  • positive and problem solving skills
  • background in an operating company (internal or external) or consultancy
  • evaluating and assessing overall effectiveness and impact of governance initiatives
  • ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet deadlines and perform at high standards
  • experience with change management, solution oriented and continuous improvement.
