Business Controller AME

You will work within a unique team in the Africa / Middle-East region supporting the regional Management Team in steering overall business performance, development and implementation of EverGreen strategy and maintaining the Governance Cycle. As a central business partner in business and strategic control, you will interact with senior stakeholders at Global office, the Regional teams and OpCos. You will play an active role in shaping the region’s business priorities, managing performance and delivering on strategic projects.​

 

 

Your responsibilities would include:

 

 

Business partnering and Management Reporting:

 

  • Leading critical business performance reporting (AME region) for HEINEKEN and providing timely, actionable insights to the Regional Management Team, OpCos and Global Functions.
  • Taking direct responsibility for producing accurate and timely management information for the Regional MT, giving interpretation and proactively driving intervention (Business Performance Management, Decision Support).
  • Engaging directly with OpCos (strategic controllers, FM’s) to drive rigor in global data‑set reporting and build collaboration and compliance, including Global/Functional MR change requests.
  • Acting as the key contact for the Global Business Control team.
  • Managing business volatility through ad‑hoc complex situation handling (e.g., hyperinflation implementation, FX devaluation analysis) specific to the AME region.

 

Managing and improving the governance cycle.

 

  • Supporting the AME Annual and Strategic Planning processes, Rolling Forecast and Business Performance Reviews.
  • Providing critical support for long‑term and short‑term target‑setting and achievement processes, ensuring incentives are in place and effective.
  • Leading analysis for external reporting and investor relations (reported performance, peer benchmarking, outlook guidance).

 

Financial reporting

 

  • Owning full E2E and P&L/BS responsibility for [TBC] AME regional entities.
  • Including RoFo management, reporting, and aligning with the HBS support team on specific entities.
  • Leading the Pre‑close process for the AME region.

 

Support decision making

 

  • Managing the Fund Application process and Post‑Investment Reviews by developing business cases, performing ad‑hoc analysis, and providing recommendations on business‑case delivery, resource allocation, scenario modelling and risk management.

 

Leading and delivering AME region strategic projects

 

  • Participating in/leading and supporting the delivery of strategic projects and assignments (e.g. hard currency taskforce, internal/competitive benchmarking, etc).
  • Supporting Regional Management Team/Opcos in preparation of presentation materials and analyses, and address ad-hoc requests and deliverables. ​

 

 

You are a good match if you have:

 

 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance, with experience with automated systems
  • Master’s in business economics or accounting & control (ACA, CIMA) or MBA. Thorough knowledge of business economic process.
  • Experience in business control, finance management or managerial reporting. Experience of working within a multinational matrix style environment is valuable.
  • Finance knowledge, analytical skills, critical thinking, Excel & PowerPoint proficiency, ability to translate financial information/concepts to tangible recommendations, meticulous.
  • English (excellent verbal & written skills).

  • Communication skills: Effective communication skills. Must be able to operate and communicate clearly and quickly in a complex environment, work and make decisions under time and situational pressure, adaptable to a fast-paced/challenging environment.
