Agile Coach

The Agile Coach is the ambassador for the Agile Way of Working and helps Scrum Master’s, Product Owners and Team Members with the functionality, productivity and improvement of the Product Team. He or she is part of team Agile Way of Working and assigned to a Portfolio. The Agile Coach provides training, coaching and learning-onthe-job for the Portfolio as a whole as well as Product Teams in order to improve value delivery of the Portfolio. Improving knowledge and usage of the HEINEKEN Agile way of working is a main responsibility for this role. 

 

Your responsibilities would include: 

  

  • leading the desired culture change to create a maximum performance in every respect 

  • training Product teams and coach them on a consistent and proper application of the HEINEKEN way of working 

  • pointing out bottlenecks in the way of working of the Product Team and coaching on how toimprove in order to increase their effectiveness 

  • assisting as needed to help remove impediments and distractions that interfere with the abilityof the team to deliver on the sprint goal 

  • attending key ceremonies, reviewing artefacts and interviewing practitioners to check practicesagainst the standard Agile maturity framework 

  • demonstrating strong knowledge of and background with Agile concepts 

  • facilitating, coaching and guiding Product Teams 

  • coordinating activities between teams within a portfolio 

  • arranging cohesion and overview between activities that is divided over multiple teams in the portfolio 

  • enabling and stimulating an environment for providing and asking continuous feedback byacting as a role model 

  • developing the Agile skills of the Product Owner, Scrum Masters and Team Members 

  • educating colleagues (employees at all levels) on Agile principles 

  • providing training sessions and teaching valuable skills that lead toward the organization-wide ofAgile methodologies 

  • serving as an Agile ambassador inside and outside the portfolio 

  • identifying and cultivating the best practices of the Agile way of working in GIS 

  • performing in an active coaching role for the implementation of the Agile way of working 

  • using techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation 

  • embodying the Agile principles and lead by example 

  • regularly assessing Product Team maturity and identifies potential actions in order to reach thenext maturity level 

  • sharing experiences and new agile developments with GIS and the business 

  • taking care of thequality improvement of the Product Owners and Scrum Masters; giving feedback to Scrum Masters and Team Members for the improvement of collaboration. 

  

You are a good candidate if you have: 

  

  • more than 5 years’ experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach; further several years of experience in an IT environment 

  • excellent coaching skills: listening, motivating, observing 

  • excellent communication skills (both verbal and in writing) 

  • collaborating attitude, showing courage, taking responsibility 

  • strong knowledge of Agile rules and practices and able to teach others 

  • proven training, coaching and change management experience 

  • tech savvy skills 

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree 

  • Scrum Coach certification or Scrum Master certification.
