Category Buyer

Roles and Responsibilities: 

1.Strategic Sourcing & Category Management:

• Support development and execution of sourcing strategies for Facilities and Business Services, ensuring alignment with global procurement frameworks.
• Analyze business needs and provide input to help prioritize service categories for strategic sourcing.

2.Supplier & Contract Management:

• Support tracking of supplier performance and ensure compliance with internal policies (e.g., HO Consultancy Services Policy), including adherence to approval workflows and spend guidelines.
• Maintain effective working relationships with vendors (e.g., Facilities, Business Services) to support service quality and issue resolution.
• Assist in contract execution and administration, including monitoring service levels, pricing terms, and contract compliance.
• Support implementation of mechanisms to track supplier performance and policy compliance and escalate gaps where necessary.

3.Operational Excellence & Spend Optimization:

• Support cost transparency and efficiency in Facility & Business services categories by tracking spending and identifying optimization opportunities.
• Contribute to initiatives such as rate card standardization, vendor consolidation, and performance-based contract implementation
• Analyze spending data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for efficiency improvement.
• Support monitoring of cost optimization initiatives and report progress and outcomes

4.Stakeholder Engagement & Governance:

• Partner with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with Heineken’s Business Code of Conduct and internal policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are preferred
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in procurement and particularly in business services category (HR, D&T, Facility, Utilities, Finance, …)
• Proven experience in managing renewable energy sources (PPAs, EACs) and sustainability-driven procurement strategies.
• Background in FMCG or similar industries preferred, with strong understanding of cost optimization and compliance.
• Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English
