In 2023 we are investing £40m in our pubs across the UK, this will touch 600 sites and create 600 new jobs. Right now, we’re looking for a Marketer in the Star Pubs & Bars (SP&B) lessee recruitment team.

A key focus for the SP&B lessee recruitment team is to attract, proactively recruit, and appoint the best self-employed pub operators in the business. We need to stand out. We need to reach a broader demographic than we’ve ever managed before with our communications in a very competitive marketplace. As our Marketing and Campaigns Manager you’ll work with the SP&B Digital & Social Marketing Manager to be the lead technical experts on all things digital, social and content when it comes to pub operator attraction.

You’ll deliver the regional SP&B lessee recruitment marketing strategy to attract licensees to our vacant pubs. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team of Recruitment Support Managers to build and execute a recruitment plan for their regions. You’ll also be the product owner of the email marketing system, taking the lead on collating and analysing our customer experience measurement and insights, you’ll then need to collate the results & recommendations and share with the relevant stakeholders on a quarterly report.

Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who has experience with creating compelling creative assets using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, or briefing our creative agencies and bringing to life on our external channels (to let boards and banners, POS flyers for pub vacancies and open day advertising material, social and digital ads and marketing e-shots) why pub operators should explore an agreement with Star Pubs & Bars.

Experience in managing email marketing systems, digital platforms and social media channels will be required as you’ll be responsible for ensuring a consistent look, feel and tone of voice across our external communication platforms.  You’ll also work closely with the rest of the lessee recruitment team to develop stand-out adverts for roles and events as well as create digital content to support campaigns.

It’d be a real asset if you have a strong appreciation (or love) for data, knowing that the success of what you do needs to be measured and you’ll be able to pull on experience of utilising data analytic tools to assess the performance of campaigns and engagement. You’ll have money to spend on campaigns and you’ll need to utilise your analytical skills to demonstrate the ROI.
